Book Two: Branch Seventy Three

Aletta had suddenly become the third wheel and Alethea and Joshua were now busy sharing interest and discussion.

Aletta had washed down the whole dishes and pots used by her sister in making the breakfast while both of them moved to the living room to continue with their supposed important discussion. Aletta had also cleaned up the kitchen. Doing the house chores made her feel a bit happy because it had been a while since she did tasks like that.

"Aren't you going to go home?" Aletta asked pulling out the throw pillow away from his buttock making him shake a little and throw her an uncomfortable look.

"Can't you see that I am discussing with him?" Alethea asked crossing her hand across her chest annoyed that her conversation was being interrupted.

"I can see that but I am sure he might have a lot of personal things to do today and he needs to go home. He hasn't been there since last night" he said pushing him to his feet from the couch.

"Why are you so eager to see me go?" he asked s
