"Joshua we would be late" Aletta screamed from the bottom of the stairs.

"Honey are we using our government names now?" Joshua screamed back at her.

"Joshua you know I do not like being late for any of these events" Aletta screamed back at him.

Altetta paced back and forth at the bottom of the stairs. "You know you should not be screaming while you are this pregnant"Joshua said as he came down the stairs with his daughter in his hands.

"If you had come down earlier then I would have had no reason to scream that much" she retorted and he smiled.

"It was my little pumpkin here who kept me waiting" Joshua replied as he got to stand beside her.

"How is she feeling now?" Aletta asked trying to peek at her daughter's face.

Ellie their daughter had thrown a tantrum because she felt like it all of a sudden. Aletta who was so heavily pregnant did not have it in her to deal with the toddler's unreasonable demands so when Joshua had volunteered to take care of the child instead she was out of there faster than the speed of light.

"Better I guess, she probably feels better once she sees the rest of the people"

"I hope so because her attitude these days is leaving me so exhausted" Aletta replied running her hand through her hair.

Ellie had been so hung up on throwing so many tantrums now that Aletta was closer to her due date. Ellie grew up as such a lovely child but of late it had become like she was fighting something unseen. "She is exhausting me," Aletta said as she began to walk out of the room.

"Don't worry honey" Joshua said following after her.

They drove to the Delgado mansion and Jessica was there at the door ready to welcome them. "Ellie how are you darling" Jessica said as soon as the girl ran towards her screaming grandma grandma.

"How are you my darling" Jessica asked picking the toddler up and holding her on the waist.

"How are you, Aletta?" Jessica asked smiling at the heavily pregnant woman walking towards her.

"Exhausted, your grandchild seems to be throwing a tantrum at every chance she gets" Aletta went ahead to tell her mother-in-law how she felt.

"Come in to rest" Jessica said pulling her arm and taking her in.

"Your son is also alive and well" Joshua called after them.

"She doesn't care about her children anymore, now that she has a big family," Jeanne said dropping her hand over her brother's shoulders.

"She did the same to you too?"

"Of course, she hugged Hugo and Thiago and ignored me like I did not exist or even come out of her body" Jeanne added tapping her brother's shoulders.

"I guess we have something in common now" Joshua said turning to his sister.

"We do" Jeanne replied and they both burst into laughter. They were just glad that their choices as spouses where accepted by their parents.

"How have you been?" Joshua asked

"You see me every other day at the office, do you really have to ask me this?" Jeanne replied.

"Yes, I don't know why I asked you that," Joshua said before walking away.

It was thanksgiving and they were all gathered for a meal because Jessica had insisted on bringing everyone in, Eunice and her boyfriend Leon were there, Alethea and her fiance were there too, and they were waiting to be married by the new year, Nichole had tagged along too because she had nowhere to go and Jessica believed the more the merrier. Anette and Richard were there as well.

Anette had finally healed a bit, gotten better and gotten married to Richard, at the moment she was expecting and was thrilled about it, Brian was also around and he had a woman with him who he was quite serious about. Anette and Andrew could not be okay with seeing their dad frolic around with a lady who he was head over heels for. Andrew was finally warming up to the idea of having a girlfriend and everyone was happy for him.

"I told you all she needed was to be with all these people" Joshua whispered to Aletta motioning to Ellie who was running around with Hugo.

"Grateful for that"

"Shall we head out for the dinner" Jessica announced to the crowd of people in her house.

Silently and gently everyone moved out to the garden where Jessica had prepared a feast. They sat at the table and held hands to share everything the were grateful for. Xavier was the last person to speak his eyes twinkled as he spoke.

"I am grateful for Family"
