Chapter Fifty-Two

AGNAR'S POV

I walked out of Gertrude clutching onto the bottle. I didn't know what to make of it, and I couldn't convince myself of the obvious, hence why I went to Gertrude to talk some sense into her. But even that didn't work because I was still in denial.

She was my best friend, and there was no way she would do what Gertrude was insinuating.

I stormed back into the room, pacing. I wanted someone to pay so badly for the pains he or she put me through, but it couldn't be Celine.

The more I thought about it, the more crazy it seemed. I was about to crash the bottle on the floor when the door flew open.

"Agnar, is everything okay?" She asked with a concerned expression. Looking at her right now, how could anyone even accuse her of poisoning me?

"Nothing, just stretching my arm," I lied.

"Oh, you should be resting; we don't want anything happening to you," she said, rushing over to me. I quickly snuck the bottle into my pocket, and I smiled.
