Chapter Fifty-Four

AGNAR'S POV

I was literally in shock, wondering if this all could be a dream; she wasn't moving on the stretcher, nor did she even look my way.

Gertrude wasn't the best mom; I mean, dad brought her home a few months after my mom died. I resented her so much while growing up, but then I stopped hating her when I was grown and just endured her.

But I never pictured her a murder, I noticed she has being in so much pain after Rex passed that she had to poison me for sending him to his death.

This is absurd, I mean, why would she want to kill me? Even if Gertrude hated me for sending Rex to his death, why would she confess to stealing the school money meant for a project?

"It doesn't make sense."

"Baby, take heart," Celine said, holding my hands.

"How did this happen?" I asked her.

"The guards found her early this morning dead on the bed and clutching onto this bottle." She said, raising a small bottle, that was wrapped in a zip-lock bag.

"The same," I whispered... She didn't plant
