BLAIR’S POV It was both creepy, but yet quite a relief that they were expecting us, as it kind of just set the mood. “Oh, she came with a party,” the other lady said. Roberts got out of the sofa and the lady followed. They were both covered under a duvet, at the time of our arrival. “Jane!” the woman called. “How have you been, sis,” she went to her with a hug. Jane did not reciprocate the energy and her confusion at that very moment, made me believe everything Jane was saying. She was obviously clueless on the lady before us.“Have a seat.” She gestured to us all. The woman was definitely sassier than Jane was, and in her presence, Jane was pretty very calm and modest. This was the first I was going to witness and it was out of this world to know that there was someone who’s mere presence alone humbled Jane so much. It was an executive lounge with a living room that had more than enough sofas to carry us all and since we were here for answers, we did not hesitate to seat. “I

BLAIR’S POV Apparently, Jennice meant every word of her dramatic pause. She served us tea and I wasn’t sure whether we were hypnotized or she was just that captivating, but we were drinking on her every word. It was only a few hours into the morning and breakfast was definitely appropriate. “I do not understand all of this,” Sebastine said, “Why were you willing to throw your sister under the bus, if you loved her so much?” “Yea, what if she got caught and prosecuted for all those crimes?” I chipped in. Jennice laughed, “Well, she handled it, did she?” Jennice responded. I couldn’t even look at this woman. I immediately felt very bad for Jane. All these years, I thought Jane was an evil and distasteful woman, I never would have though that she was just being a puppet in the hands of people that she did not know existed. She was just a frustrated woman, who could not talk about her pains, because the first time she did, to the people she loved and trusted, they made sure it w

BLAIR’S POV “Are we going to do it?” Sebastine asked. We returned to our room, after Jennice finally let us go. “Involve ourselves in an attack against the queen?” Brian asked, giving Sebastine a death stare.“Is there not an obvious answer to that question already, Sebastine?” he followed with another question. Of course, it was obvious that we couldn’t be involved in Jennice’s big bow, but Sebastine’s question was coming from a place of panic and to be fair, he wasn’t the only one who was terrified. We all were.Jennice had a big plan to run all of England bankrupt, or at least, crippled the Queen and she needed us all on the plan. “We have to report to the police,” Brian said, Jane erupted in laughter. “Bold of you to think that is an option, Brian,” she said, “What do you mean?” he probed. “You work with the police, Collins does too. You both were there, why can’t you bring her to book?” I asked, agreeing with Brian. “She has my criminal record,” Jane said, “And mine to

BLAIR’S POVWe all had no idea that England’s Queen had been extending invitations to Brian and he had a private pass to her. She was coming into the country the next day, so what ever decision we had to take, we had to do it immediately. This new information on Brian, made Jennice’s use for us make more sense, because I couldn’t in the life of me, wrap my head around why Jennice was going to need us, who were inexperienced and clueless on her job, to execute such a plan. A plan she called ‘her big bow,’ It was the billionaire pass and also the fact that if this went south, we were going to be taking the fall for all her offenses. Jane was identical to her, so we were going to be going down as her stupid crime team. “Her flight comes in at noon,” Jane said, “Brian, when is your appointment?” she probed. “What appointment?”“What are you talking about?” Brian queried Jane. “Shouldn’t you call the Queen and get an appointment?” Jane asked back. Brian was taken aback. “What are

BLAIR’S POV Since Jennice had her ears on our conversation and her eyes on us, Brian had emailed the Queen all of Jennice’s plans, so she could play along and the police was definitely there to catch Jennice, Roberts and all her accomplices. We could finally have some peace, watching her being led to jail.Stacy and Jane had their records cleared, just for bringing Jennice and Roberts to book. It was Ronald’s plan to by pass the plan and even though we acted in fear, it was very beautiful that we pulled it off. The Queen was also delighted to be meeting Brian in person, and seeing the Queen obsessed over his economic knowledge and business skill, made me realize how much of a blessing I had, to have him by my side, spending his life and time with me, when it took him years to honor the Queen’s invitation. She insisted we spend a few days with her and the rest of the team got to return to their peaceful and blessed lives, while we stayed back in London. The weather was quite a bea

BLAIR’S POV “Uhm, Blair,” Jane turned around. I couldn’t help notice that she was quite uncomfortable with my presence. This was excluding the fact that she was sweating and stammering. “Is everything okay?” “Mother,” I gulped in a large amount of saliva, as the name left my mouth. I had not gotten adapted to calling her mother, but after the happening of the past few months, which we kept a secret from my father, in order to protect his health, I felt like Jane and I had come a long way, crossing a major hurdle together and it felt time appropriate to call her mother, even though trauma from the past was still holding me back. Jane cleared her throat. “Of course, my darling,” she responded, forcing through a smile. “Everything is perfect.” She said.“Is there something you need?” she probed. I had reservations on her action, just by mere looking at her. I was struggling to figure what her conversation was about that made her struggle with my presence in the room. I just kep

BLAIR’S POV Early the next morning, the entire family were already at breakfast table, by the time I was waking up from sleep. I had already freshened up and just joined them. It was only two days to Christmas and the snow outside was unforgiving. I had on protective clothes, as did the entire family, while we shared a hot breakfast. Sitting on the table with them all, made me realize that family really was everything. We had conversations and laughed and it was very peaceful to be spending some quality time with family. At a point, I thought about the previous night and was glad that I took Brian’s advice to let everything go. Seeing Jane with smiles on her face and joy in her heart was quite satisfying as well. “So, Brian, have you considered investing in the company?” My father asked. I now had no record of what was going on the company and now that they were not putting him under duress, Brian could decide whether or not he was willing to invest in the company or not and

BLAIR’S POV If I understood Brian properly, there was no point that money was withdrawn from the company for my father’s treatment and the only reason I was not aware was because Dr. Bruce did not want to bother me. If this was true, why was the company running a downward slope, very fast. Brian and I, in a bid for clarity, hurriedly went to the office and we continued our search for more and more documents that was going to explain further. We found nothing in my father’s office and after a few hours, we had not made so much progress. I wasn’t sure what exactly Brian was looking for, but if he said that something was not right, then something was definitely not right. After more hours, I just had to voice out.“What is going on, Brian?” I questioned. “The records…” he struggled to speak, as he continued scattering every single file that was available. “Someone is lying,” he said, “It’s either the records or the staff, but whatever it is, the figures do not align. If someone

BLAIR’S POVThe staff had met my father’s scattered office and had assumed that it was either burglary or someone tried to sabotage the office, so they ran everywhere, looking for answers and trying to figure out the missing file. This chaos provided me room to slip out, the very way I came in. I was hold in my hands, the original copy of the company’s financial record and couldn’t believe it. I drove the fastest that I could and when I arrived, I ran straight for Brian. “Blair,” he called in a high-pitched tone, pretty excited to see me. “I told you she was hiding something.” I said, handing the documents to him.“He took it from me and even before he opened it, he smiled at me. “I know she is,” he said, “The company was never in bankruptcy.” I said, in interpretation of everything that I saw from Jennifer’s system. “Yes, she had been embezzling the funds into her private account.” Brian said. I quietly stared at him for a while. “I told you I would figure it out,” he said

BLAIR’S POV“I asked you to stay away.” Brian’s voice was almost hitting the top, when he returned and learned that I had a conversation with Jane. “She brought herself to me. What did you expect me to do?” I yelled, “Stay away and at least wait for me to get back?” he responded. I couldn’t take his scolding, but his anger was evident that I had crossed a line. I quietly listened to him and waited for him to find out that I had taken an extra step. “I had it all under control.” He said. Just then, there came a knock on the door. Brian stared at me. We never get any visitors around, so it became a moment of silence. I hurried downstairs, since I was expecting guests, and Brian followed immediately after me. “Mrs. Williams?” the officer called.By the time we got to the door, Jane was already there, answering the police officers. “You called the police?” Brian asked in a whisper. I stared at him without any words. Jane turned back and stared at me. My father was the most c
