BLAIR’S POV If I understood Brian properly, there was no point that money was withdrawn from the company for my father’s treatment and the only reason I was not aware was because Dr. Bruce did not want to bother me. If this was true, why was the company running a downward slope, very fast. I was more delighted than I could ever be. BRIAN'S POV I was fighting the urge to use any language that might invalidate her feelings and quests, but that did not mean I was now finding all of this easy. Our relationship grew more draining by the day and now it felt to me like I had paused my life to be there for her, while she fixed her broken and dysfunctional home. I kept struggling to hold a smile, as she spoke about not giving up on the family legacy. Mr. Williams' company ran majorly on outdated glory now, and there was not much left to save. Maybe not worth waiting for, or fighting for. Loving Blair was becoming the most difficult thing for me and I was drowning thoughts, pushing out all my self-control. ‘Help me!’ I whispered and then set her too sleep. BRIAN'S POV The exhaustion in Blair was pretty very obvious and I didn't bother to wake her up. Before the first ray of sun hit the surface, I ran to the car and was on my way to Winchester. I had spent all night, trying over and over again to reach out to Stacy, but neither her number, nor Collins’ was connecting and I found the word ‘peace,’ very far from my abode. The two hours drive to Winchester, had to be the longest I had had in all my life. I drove straight to the office and found the gates heavily locked with chains and a gigantic padlock. “What's the meaning of this?” I started yelling at the top of my voice. “Is anybody here? I left the room and hurried downstairs, but only found Ashley, taking care of father.It was obvious that sooner than later, we were going to need a male nurse, who could be carrying my father around. Watching Ashley take care of my father, filled my eyes with tears. The house was both a blessing and a curse for her. It had quickly snatched the joy and the chances of progress, which it gave her. Ashley could not see school through and had to pause her education, just to take care of dad. Even though I did not understand the complete stress of having to take care of my father, I understood the pain of leaving school, to tend to home worries and I really thought that Ashley deserved better.
