BRIAN'S POV

I was fighting the urge to use any language that might invalidate her feelings and quests, but that did not mean I was now finding all of this easy.

Our relationship grew more draining by the day and now it felt to me like I had paused my life to be there for her, while she fixed her broken and dysfunctional home.

I kept struggling to hold a smile, as she spoke about not giving up on the family legacy.

Mr. Williams' company ran majorly on outdated glory now, and there was not much left to save. Maybe not worth waiting for, or fighting for.

Loving Blair was becoming the most difficult thing for me and I was drowning thoughts, pushing out all my self-control.

‘Help me!’ I whispered and then set her too sleep.

It took at least three hours of lamentation and crying, pushing through tears, to be able get her this calm, but I finally did and now she was asleep.

I was left with the job of pacing around the room, thinking about how safe it was to take on this kind of fight
