BLAIR’S POV

“Uhm, Blair,” Jane turned around.

I couldn’t help notice that she was quite uncomfortable with my presence. This was excluding the fact that she was sweating and stammering.

“Is everything okay?”

“Mother,” I gulped in a large amount of saliva, as the name left my mouth.

I had not gotten adapted to calling her mother, but after the happening of the past few months, which we kept a secret from my father, in order to protect his health, I felt like Jane and I had come a long way, crossing a major hurdle together and it felt time appropriate to call her mother, even though trauma from the past was still holding me back.

Jane cleared her throat.

“Of course, my darling,” she responded, forcing through a smile.

“Everything is perfect.” She said.

“Is there something you need?” she probed.

I had reservations on her action, just by mere looking at her. I was struggling to figure what her conversation was about that made her struggle with my presence in the room.
