CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND TWELVE

Noah's Pov"Wait what?" Colin asked suddenly"Did I speak too low for your hearing?" I asked, raising a brow."No, I'm just confused at what you're saying Noah?...you want to do what exactly?" he asked again, frowning deeper."I'm going to stop the feud between us and the Omegas...""And how do you propose we do that?..." he jumped. "There aren't any Omegas even left alive?" he pitched. "That's...that's impossible!"And I became silent now. I hated that it had to come to this; but it was inevitable. Because I knew I'd eventually have to tell him. That I'd have to let him in on the truth. But I trusted Colin, and anytime I had anything I couldn't handle alone, I went to him always. I was back in my seat again now and I rubbed my eyes in a sigh as I decided it was time to finally explain."That's what I used to think as well..." I said, turning. "I used to think they were all dead too Colin..."His face stayed frowning at me strongly, and I could see the confusion in his eyes, yet someh

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND THIRTEEN

Noah's PovI didn't know what to say. And I sank deeper in my chair as Colin watched me with eyes surprisingly forlorn. He didn't move or flinch as he actually waited for me to give a response. And I frowned internally as I wondered why he was so curious to know?"I would welcome them as I welcomed the brothers..." I answered. "And I'm already prepared to work with them in searching for more of their people..." I explained. "So if I find more of them it would actually be of help to us; because I'm planning on talking to the Council soon..." I added. "I'll hold a meeting and bring all the Elders together for a discussion on the issue... And the more Omegas we can find, the stronger our argument..." "So I would accept more Colin...only if we can find them..."And as I closed my mouth, his face relaxed back into bleakness. He instantly lost his shakiness, and darting eyes. He didn't fidget with his hands or glance at the brothers anymore. As his whole frame stilled almost immediately, a

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN

Myra's PovI was still squinting at the fog when father hopped down from the carriage following Izon. I hadn't seen him move and as his feet touched the ground I turned, only to see him arching his back and wriggling his legs; groaning in a stretch. He cracked his neck and reached his arms high in the air, then brought them down to his hips and stretched again. Before he yawned and rubbed his eyes, opening his mouth wide."Home?" I asked now.But Izon had moved behind the carriage, and father was still relieving himself from the stress of stiff bones; as he performed several yoga poses before finally facing me and answering."Well...yes..." he said, nodding, as he looked around. "This is your new home"And I frowned; raising a brow as I spun my head around in every direction. I didn't see anything, I couldn't see anything. Absolutely nothing but bushes, shrubs, vines and a fog covered bridge. And my back being watched by two austere and emotionally unstable men. There was no building

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN

Noah's PovI made to move to the door, but Colin flew out his seat and in front of me faster than I could blink. He raised a hand to my chest, holding me back suddenly."Where are you going?" he asked, frowning.I frowned back, and moved his hand away as I side stepped and made room; moving away from him. The brothers still stood just behind me, and had put on their armor as they stared at us. And I grew angry as Colin stepped in front of me again, repeating his question."What's your concern Colin?" I snapped. But he raised a brow and kept his hand ahead of him and towards me still; not planning on letting me pass anytime soon."I'm sorry but moments ago, you said you needed my attention Noah...that you needed me here..." he said, staring. "And now the meetings are over, everyone has to let each other know where they're going next?..." he said sternly. "And especially them..." he said, jerking his head in the brothers direction.I paused, and moved his hand again. This time holding h

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN

Noah's PovAnd I didn't hesitate, or move as a result of his allowance; as I jumped out through the door and out of my chambers almost instantly. My feet pounded on the tiled floor of the corridor in haste, and in seconds I turned and fell out into the courtyard. I was relieved as all the paths that lined in different directions had been made visible with torches that rested on the exterior pillars; and I reached for one to light the way as I marched down the road that led to the cabin. My hands ran through my hair as my legs jogged through high shrubs and past hard bark trees. I could hear mosquitoes over my head and almost inside my ears. Night had come surprisingly fast, and the winds blew colder than usual; making me wish I had carried my coat.My mind ran jagged with thoughts of Myra, as I imagined how she would greet me? But even worse on what she would think of me? As I had left her in a stank and rusty old outhouse of a building, to wait for me. And I had left her there, alone

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN

Myra's Pov My eyes blinked slowly, as they struggled not to stay closed and continue in sleep. I hadn't rested in more than a day, and the pains in my wrist and ankles still lingered around in my body. I shifted slightly, but I was surprised when I felt something underneath me. And it was warm and soft. But I was even more surprised when my eyes finally opened a good patch and I found myself sideways on the floor?I frowned as everything seemed to be up above me, while I was down below on the ground in some cocoon. And the walls around me seemed to bend and sway over me; while I laid wrapped in something I couldn't even turn my head enough to recognize. But I still managed to crane my neck sideways. And that was when I noticed the lantern. A big orb of light inside an iron spiral that almost looked like the sign of infinity. But it was rusty. Yet it stood bright in the center of wherever it was that I was?I tried to move, but my entire frame was too lost in fatigue; and even my soul

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN

Noah's PovThe roof seemed to cave in on my head as I stood there. As the wind from outside the window still pushed and pulled at the blinds; and I froze motionless like a child lost in a haunted house.A million thoughts took to their heels as I glanced around the room frantically. And I moved from the fireplace immediately, and deeper inside the cabin. I kicked down doors and tore down cabinets. I didn't know why I broke the kitchen sink too, but I was in a panic. Where was she? Where did she go to? How did she leave? What happened to her?My head was steaming, as I now started looking for blood trails. I frowned at the curtains and searched for claw marks, hunting for any sign of struggle. I could feel my heart beat ten times faster as I walked around the small cabin. But as I kept finding nothing, it now felt like an entire castle. And as my legs were heavy, even though I was stampeding, it felt like I wasn't moving fast enough. Because there was no time to waste. Myra was gone.

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND NINETEEN

Myra's PovBut father was silent for the most part. As he leaned back in his chair, and yawned, then sniffled; running his hands under his nose. His eyes blinked slowly as he kept staring at me. Then he cleared his throat and put his legs down from each other."Oh, I should be thanking you Myra..." he said now, sighing."Because you're only the reason I'm still alive, even though death has been trying to take me for so long..." he said, oddly confessing. "And it's funny really..." he smirked. "To think that my desire to exist would actually be increased by the love of a single child?..."And the last sentence sent chills up my spine. I was wrapped in clothes that could help me survive living inside a glacier, yet his words made me freeze. I didn't like how everyone had now begun attaching some vague importance to my existence; especially when I knew there was nothing special about me. There was no value, no worth, no wow factor. Absolutely nothing. Yet somehow everyone was suddenly he

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY

Noah's PovThe road was dangerously quiet and everything surrounding me was trapped in darkness. I still managed to see but with the rain, my eyes were getting as covered in water as my clothes. My hands were muddy and I wiped them across my jeans, as I stumbled up a different path and took a shortcut; busting out into the entrance of my chambers."Colin!!!" I yelled. "Colin!!!"I hurried up the steps, but stopped as a figure suddenly stood out from the shadows just at the foot of the stairs. I turned immediately; and my night vision placed in view a man with a disturbingly straight posture, and standing in a calm pose. His left hand was behind his back in a stance while his right held a torch that shone too bright and disturbed my changed eyes. I groaned and raised a hand to block the light, then reverted my vision back to normal. My pupils dilated and the surrounding darkness seeped back in.But with the torch I could now see where I stood, unassisted by my powers. Along with who wa

CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED & TWENTY ONE

Myra's PovHis eyes stayed locked unto mine like a vice, as he stared at me like an hieroglyphic on an ancient wall. I was hypnotized, and didn't know when I found myself lost. The energy from his gaze kept me fixed, and my hands shook as I wanted to turn away but just couldn't. His breath was steady and mine was somehow in rhythm, hanging in spurts yet still flowing. I didn't know what to do, and the room suddenly became tense; with the heat of the lantern now somehow doubling. I sat with my legs crossed, wondering how long we would stare, when his head suddenly darted and the spell was broken. The same time a crack of thunder clapped just outside. And I almost jumped out of my skin as I shrieked in response to the boom; and father moved away, standing up slowly and with a blank gaze.He got off his toes and his eyes moved to the tent flap. It swayed and struggled, and even raised off the ground. At one point, it swooped up entirely and revealed what stood beyond. And I frowned as
