CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND NINETEEN

Myra's Pov

But father was silent for the most part. As he leaned back in his chair, and yawned, then sniffled; running his hands under his nose. His eyes blinked slowly as he kept staring at me. Then he cleared his throat and put his legs down from each other.

"Oh, I should be thanking you Myra..." he said now, sighing.

"Because you're only the reason I'm still alive, even though death has been trying to take me for so long..." he said, oddly confessing. "And it's funny really..." he smirked. "To think that my desire to exist would actually be increased by the love of a single child?..."

And the last sentence sent chills up my spine. I was wrapped in clothes that could help me survive living inside a glacier, yet his words made me freeze.
