CHAPTER NINETY-SEVEN

Noah's Pov

I didn't know when I made straight to the door and out to the backyard; dropping the box above the fireplace and jogging in a haste to fetch the water hose. My mind was going in circles as I ran in a straight line to the back of the house. And as I reached the pipe, I unloosened its folded frame and pulled it along, running back up to the living room.

I stood in front of Colin with the pipe now reaching all the way and pointing at his face. I didn't know if what I wanted to do would work, and I was worried because he had been unconscious for such a long time.

But then I unscrewed the cap and showered him with enough water to flood a village.

He didn't move at first, and the couch along with his clothes were merely being soaked to the skin. Then I frowned and turned the lever; increasing the pressure, and the water splashed and splattered on his face till he jerked up, eyes wide and coughing.

I held back the lever and turned the water off, as he coughed and coughed himsel
