Living and Learning

Logan“What do you mean it’s gone? How does it just disappear?” I said angrily at Titus and Alex. I didn’t understand.“The portal is no longer there. That means that it was closed on the other side. Azalea wouldn’t know how to do that. I can find another portal - I know of several in the area- but seeing as how I don’t know where that one came out at in the fae lands it’s going to be a lot of guess work. The good thing is they’ll stick out there so news should spread quickly about a hybrid and two werewolves who are wondering around. I would guess she had a plan though Logan. She could have just as easily found another portal and popped out somewhere else Earth side. There’s not telling,” Titus said steadily. All I heard was how he felt he knew her better than I did and I growled at that thought. She was my mate damn it.“Go. See what you can find out and let me know,” I said as my office door swung open.“He’s not going anywhere without me. Damn it Logan. You don’t know her like I d

Books and more Books

Azalea Before I know it a few months have gone by. I have read so many books and come across so much useless information. But we did come across some on potions I hadn’t come across as well as some about the memory absorption. Cara and Derek now joined us for most meals and their million questions kept meals interesting. In the evenings after I healed the twins and occasionally Lucas I spent some time playing games with her enjoying my break from reading and practicing. I usually joined the guys a few days a week to keep myself warmed up and to see their progress. Lucas had been training them hard but you could definately see it. The other days I would tend my garden and practice my powers. Dan usually joined me and offered suggestions or had me try different things and I had been able to really hone in my powers. I missed Logan and Cassie and everyone else so much but I knew this is what I needed to be doing. I was in the library again pouring through books with Cerwin and Dan when

Stubborn Mate

Azalea I woke a few hours later feeling like an elephant was on my chest. I sat up struggling to breathe and I could feel the pain beginning to creep in again. How? this potion should be working. I know I made it correctly. The pain in my chest was radiating out, my limbs felt heavy and weak. I laid there in bed trying to figure out what I did wrong when it hit me. Logan. He hadn’t taken the second shot. I left them with Rich and I let him know the approximate time frame. I didn’t know what symptoms to look for but I’m sure by now he should have realized that whatever radical behavior Logan was experiencing - I’m assuming it was much the same as mine- was due to our bond and him needing the shot. I whimpered in pain unsure of how long I could wait for him to take the damn thing. I need.. I need you to call your dad I sent to the twins in the link. Why? What’s wrong? Are you ok? No Logan hasn’t taken the shot and I’m feeling... it’s too much he needs to take it now I replied squee

Time to Rest

AzaleaI felt Markus lean over and pick me up. I opened my eyes glad the pain had finally stopped and asked him “Where are we going? I’m fine now.”“You’re not fine. You’re covered in blood and sweat. You need a shower. Can one of you have someone come change her sheets?” Markus said making his way to the bathroom. Jason was already in there turning on the shower. “I don’t have enough energy to shower right now and you shouldn’t see me naked,” I replied softly frowning.I could see Dan behind us, watching worriedly. “I can have Cerwin see if he can heal her?” he asked cautiously.I tried to shake my head but couldn’t get enough energy. “No. I need tea, in my bag,” I replied softly.I watched Jason get in the shower with his clothes on and Markus placed me down gently next to him. Jason reached out to hold me steady as the warm water poured over me still in my clothes. Markus got in with us and began washing my hair, the soap and water running pink with my blood. They gently turned me

Moving On

Cerwin I watched as the girl drifted off to sleep cuddled into the 3 large men across from me. Wolves were a strange breed, and this girl of mixed blood even more so. I honestly don’t know how she has survived the things she’s gone through and yet still kept such an innocent and pure outlook. I could see the stubbornness in every step. For such as small creature she created such big waves. I watched the lycan with her. He rarely interacted with anyone besides myself and my father for the many years he had been here. Even then it was usually brief and fairly straight forward. He had changed these last few months and I knew she had something to do with it. He finally picked up a book from the table and raised his brow, looking back at me. “Ask your question Cerwin,” he said opening the book. “I can see the wheels in your mind turning from here.” “And which question is it you would have me ask, as I have many?” I replied smirking. “Typical fae answer. Ask those you wish and I will an

Seeing The Other Side

Azalea That run was exactly what I needed. When we returned back we changed quickly and made our way to the dining room for breakfast. Luckily we were just in time. Cara ran over and gave me a big hug before we all sat down to eat. I ate double what I had been knowing that my body needed the extra nutrients to build myself back up. I was surprised when Cerwin asked for Lucas, the twins and myself to join him after breakfast. He said there were some people he wished for us to meet. We followed him out to an area I hadn’t seen before. It was a large training area and in it stood about 50 fae men and women in training gear. “They are here to join your fight. Volunteers, but if you’ll have them they are yours. Lucas was meant to lead just as you were. So here is the beginning of your army,” Cerwin said waving his hand towards the crowd. I stood there in shock. I never expected this. I had no idea what to do with them. I wasn’t used to actually leading people. Lucas looked at me and mus

Making Plans

Azalea After dinner Lucas decided we needed to make an actual plan of attack and then break it down from there. So we returned to the office and cleared the small table. Dan brought out some parchment and we started with what the end goal was - killing Arick and taking out his entire operation. We spent the next few hours breaking down how we were going to do that and what we needed to accomplish it. Lucas said that if we were doing a full scale fight at one time we would need layers of attack - different armies with different skills to conter what they had. We knew they had vampires, some shifters - rogues, as well as witches. So we needed to have something to counter those. We listed what armies we knew we would have as well as the potential ones we would need and the skill set each could bring - obviously wolves and shifters against anything, witches could help with counter potions and the fae had a variety of skill sets. We listed who would be running those armies - tho

Dream Walking

Azalea I took a nice long bath afterwards adding some healing herbs to the water. I knew it would take a few more weeks to heal my body after the other day so I would take it easy physically. I mulled over what I would talk to Logan about if the dream walking worked tonight and how best to approach him. The info we had on dream walking wasn’t super extensive but it would have to do. When I had done it accidentally with him before his human mind was asleep while his wolf was in control and it had led me to where he was. I wondered how different it would be and if I could direct us to where I wanted to go. I joined everyone for lunch and we all listened as Cara talked about the fauns that she had seen earlier today. After lunch I went and prepared my room for the dream walking making sure that everything was set up. Then I took a nap unsure if I would feel rested afterwards or not. The twins came and got me for dinner and we discussed thoughts on the physical aspect of training and wh

Training the Fae

Azalea I woke up around 6 and picked myself off the floor. I made sure the herbs were not still burned and laid down on the bed exhausted. I woke again around noon. Not too terrible after my first intentional dream walks. I showered and dressed and joined everyone for lunch and let them know that I had made contact with Logan and Corsica. I told them what I had set them to do and that I would reach out to a few more tonight. I asked the guys how the training worked this morning with their groups. I told them I would join them after lunch to speak to each group to give them more information and encouragement. I wanted them to have a clear understanding of what we were doing and I wanted them pushed to the max. Those who would be potentially joining us would most likely not have the kind of training we were going to ensure that our team had and they would be looking at our team for direction and guidance. They would need to be prepared for that. I pulled them all together and went ove

Gathering Our Whits

Azalea That night I first sought out Hortencia. She was expecting me as her dream was a replica of her home. She greeted me as usual with a cup of tea and we discussed what I’d learned and how things were going. I have several what if questions for her which she answered truthfully, some of which she didn’t know either and we discussed possibilities. She told me some things to try and we discussed some alterations to potions to try and boost the fae’s powers. I talked to her about Corsica and how she would be reaching out when she was over being a scaredy cat. She told me she was proud of my progress and that she knew we were on the right path. After that I woke briefly and saw that I had enough time to reach out to Rich and most likely Charlotte. Rich was at the old High Council building in his dream. He was looking for clues, going over everything with a fine tooth comb, trying to figure out how they missed it. I snuck up behind him as he was sneaking around the hallways. “You sho
