As the kids entered into the kitchen, Cameron followed behind them immediately, and Ruby could feel him staring at her with his hard gaze. “Good morning everyone!” she greeted as she finished setting the table and then she sat down. “Good morning, Ruby.” Both Summer and Spring chorused, greeting her with a smile on their faces. They had just woken up a few minutes ago because their father had insisted on waking them up himself. Ruby smiled back at them and then she pushed the plates in front of them. Breakfast for the day was toast, eggs, bacon, and carrots. She had also poured milk for them both, and a cup of steaming hot coffee for their father.She was trying so hard to evade his gaze because she knew he was angry. Why was he angry then? She asked herself as if she had no idea, but that was a lie. She did know the reason for the emotion. Yesterday, he had asked her out on a date and she had laughed at it, telling him that he had gotten the order of things between them so wrong.
