Ruby was fine now, and she had forgotten all about Roy, which was why she was taking the kids out to make up for all the times she had been coupe up in her room. She looked at herself in the mirror at her dresser, before smiling and grabbing the pale link lipstick she wanted to use. She rarely used makeup at all, but today was one of the days she used it because she was still looking all pale, as if something was wrong with her, even though she was feeling better than she was before. She was sad, and she had been since the day before yesterday when she had taken the kids out. Although, she had tried as much as she could to make sure that the kids didn't notice the change in her mood, but she couldn't help feeling this now. Now, all she did was keep to herself and just go about her duty.It was after all, what she was here for. Sighing, she nodded. "Fine!” she said through gritted teeth and then watched him leave. When he was gone, she did as she was told, wondering why he wanted her to set out the food in the dining room they rarely used. Things were back to normal back at home, but that wasn’t what was disturbing Cameron as he sat behind his desk that afternoon. He had received a mail from Detective Gomez about what he had found. They sat in front of the fire that Cameron lit on the balcony of his room, on the recliner, in each other’s arms. He had had the recliner custom made and brought just for the purpose of sharing it with Ruby, looking at the moonlight and talking about their day. Smiling, he glanced at the woman in his arms to see her staring up at the sky with her focus unwavering.
