I walk into the meeting room to see Riley filling some pieces of paper out, we've just finished a case and it was his turn to do the paper work. We've been partners since we started working for the Alliance 4 years ago, but were best friends since we both arrived here around 11 years now. He looks up smiling sliding a piece of paper over to me with a pen, the pen nearly rolling on the floor.  "You need to sign there" he says quickly looking back towards the papers he was filling out, probably wanting to get out the way, the paperwork always takes forever.  I smile signing the paper sliding it back over, as I turn the doors open and in walks Morgan, our boss, holding a file in his hand.  "I've heard you've finished the Anderson case" he smiles as Riley hands him the completed file

In what feels like forever we pull up at the gates of the alliance, now that would have calmed me down to have this car ride over. But the next task was to try and sneak these two in the building, we'd be in so much trouble if we were caught.  I pull the fake file Riley made up on the way here, apparently the two in the back are some very violent rouges. He even thought of a backstory for them and everything, if it doesn't work out for Riley in the alliance, he could totally become a writer! We were soon on the road heading to Toby's pack, for right now I felt fine and wasn't missing him. But I guess I've only been away from the place 20 minutes, I wonder what it's gonna feel like after two hours. The car ride was silent, Brandon was just typing away on his laptop as usual while I was in my own little world.  In no time we arrive at the border of Toby's pack, wait I'm his mate, this is our pack! Okay try to put that at the back of your mind and focus on the task at hand. I get out of the car, making sure my name tag was visibly around my neck so the guard doesn't think we're about to attack. I leave the office and head to the lunch area, Morgan sent a message to Riley telling him to make sure Lukas doesn't throw away his cup. I was on my way  now to collect it, I was hoping Riley wouldn't still be upset with me when I get there. In my opinion, he didn't really have anything to be annoyed about. Brandon only joined me because Riley was asleep, that in no way shape or form means that Riley is being replaced.  Once I reach the lunch hall, the loud voices and chaos just fill my ears, this is why I never come here! It's like these people have never seen food in their lives or have been deprived of it, they need to chill! I soon lock eyes with Toby who just looks me up and down, does he seriously have to check me out every time I walk in a room?! I mean I don't do that to him....much. Around an hour later, I was fully patched up by Brandon who was still insisting I get checked out in the hospital wing. Being in that place just brings horrible memories from when I was a kid back up, so as like the lunch hall, I avoid that place like the plague. Toby sat beside me the entire time with his hand on my leg, I just know Brandon saw that and is probably aware of what we are. But I know he isn't gonna talk about it unless I do first, which I really appreciated. Morgan still hadn't returned from when he pushed me in the room, we hadn't heard a thing from him which I didn't know was a good thing at the moment.  Toby said he thought I could do with some rest but I declined that offer, what I need to focus on is work so we can sort all this mess out.
