Chapter Two

I walk back in after talking with Morgan, he was as shocked and worried as I was. He told me there's no time to loose, so he and the team are arranging all the other files about Richard to be brought up, when we arrive back with Lukas.

"You're going to need to pack a bag, you're coming with us" I inform Lukas but he just continues walking around in a stress, I mean he is getting hunted by a literal monster!

"Why does he need to leave?" The Alpha asked which meant I had to finally look up at him, I've been avoiding eye contact with him this entire time, he was breathtakingly good looking though, not the time Taylor!

"The man that is sending you these threats is highly dangerous and will stop at nothing to hurt you, but if you come with us we can keep you safe and make sure that it doesn't happen" I say trying to make Lukas feel better but urging him to hurry, we don't know when or how Richard is gonna strike again.

He nods walking out to pack while the Alpha cuts into the conversation once more, can't he just butt out for a second?! He's making it harder for me to concentrate!

"I want to come" he says out out the blue, Riley and I look at each other with a worried expression, that might not be possible.

We don't have clearance for Lukas to come so we're gonna have to sneak him in, now Toby wants to join! That's gonna make this already difficult situation, get even more difficult!

"Do you think that's a wise idea, I mean the Alpha runs the pack and makes sure nothings happens, you can't do that if you come? " Riley asks crossing his arms, he really didn't want Lukas to come back with us but he knows he has too, he's definitely gonna protest the Alpha joining.

"Oh we have an expect of running a pack here do we? Well Mr Expert, I chose my Gamma for this very reason, I have left the pack in his hands many times and he's handled it. Keep your opinions regarding my pack to yourself" he replies giving Riley the dirtiest look known to man, I was worried he was gonna attack him or something "Lukas is one of my pack members, it is my duty to ensure his safely" he says looking directly at me, his eyes just piecing through mine.

I turn my face away to look to the floor, I didn't need Riley to look over at us staring at each other. Riley's a clever guy, it wouldn't take him long to figure out what's going on.

"I'll message Morgan, let him know we have another one coming in" I mumble pulling my phone out once again, I didn't want to tell Toby he can't join us, that would bring up a possibility he might bring up what we've both just found out, something I can't let Riley find out.

Toby stands there smirking sending me a wink, thankfully, Riley had turned around in a piss about Toby joining. Toby soon leaves the room, allowing me to finally relax and Riley to just look very upset.

"You'd think the Alpha and Beta of a pack would have a go bag, we do" Riley rages as I put my phone away, looking at his face I knew he was trying to contain all the angry feelings he's holding in.

"Because we're always on the go, we have to be prepared to leave at anytime" I say walking over to grab my things, the way he looked at me I knew he wasn't with me on my decision "don't look at me like that, we have to bring him in for his protection, we know first hand how evil Richard can get" I say packing our files away while he slumps in his chair,  he wasn't even trying to crack a smile.

"I knew we'd have to bring the Beta in but not the Alpha, it isn't a package deal we've got going on here" he says which I couldn't help but chuckle at, his tantrums can be funny sometimes.

The door soon opens once again, both Toby and Lukas making their ways in with a single bag each. Well that was quicker than I first expected, maybe they do have a go bag. Or they've rushed and will come to find out they've only packed one pair of jeans, I made that mistake multiple times before I packed a go bag.

"We'll leave now, but once we're out the pack grounds we're gonna have to handcuff and blindfold you, no one is allowed to know where the alliance is located and you haven't got clearance yet, so we're gonna have to act like your prisoners to get you in" I explain while Riley stands up not saying a word and walks out, I can tell this is gonna be a fun ride! 

"Wow it seems so suspicious" Lukas remakes  walking behind us as I catch up with Riley, who just shakes his head still annoyed.

"We're risking a lot helping you" he mutters as we make it to the car, Riley and I climb in the front while the others get in the back.

Riley still doesn't say a word as he starts the engine, I send him a look saying calm it but he just rolls his eyes. We were soon driving down the road and out the pack grounds, which I could sense calmed him a little. I know Riley, so in his head now they're out of their pack they have no control.

"We'll stop up here soon, we don't want your pack members to see you handcuffed, it might damage your ego" I smile not turning around, Riley looks over smirking at me, I mostly did it to make him feel better.

I did hear a faint growl in the back though, judging by the sound it appeared to be the guy that was directly behind me. I move my eyes to look in the wing mirror, low and behold it was Toby. I guess he didn't like my comment, he was looking at the back of my head with an unreadable expression.

We soon pull up at the side of the road, Riley and I were the first to get out while the guys took their time. This did give us some the opportunity to head to the boot of the car to take out the handcuffs and chains we use for prisoners, which just gives you an indication of what horrible people we put away.

"I'll do the Beta, you take care of the Alpha" Riley says handing me everything I needed, I really wish it was the other way around but I smile not wanting him to suspect anything.

I make my way over to the guys but turn my attention to Toby, I have to check the chains just in case there not the ones laced with silver, that would not be a fun experience for these two. Once I was sure they weren't I place them on the ground, I knew this was gonna be the first time I'll be up close and personal with Toby.

"This isn't gonna take long, we'll start with your feet first" I smile over at Toby before knelling down, this closeness thing is proving to be much harder than I once anticipated, maybe I shouldn't have agreed to him coming.

I secure the cuffs around his ankles before making my way up, this meant we were very close our body's nearly touching. I try to put that at the back of my mind, while asking him to lift his arms up, he does just that so I could wrap the chain around his torso. The whole time I felt his eyes just watching my every move, this causing this situation to get even more difficult. I now had to secure his handcuffs, as soon as our hands touched sparks just shoot all the way up my arm. It wasn't a bad feeling at all, but kind of nice.

"I know you felt that" he whispers close to my face, my eyes snap to Riley who thankfully, was too busy having a discussion with Lukas about the chains.

"I don't know what you're talking about, now we need to put this over your head" I say totally dismissing what he said before, he gives me a look not happy that I indeed ignored him.

"Why are you trying to act like you don't know what's going on, you know we're ma-" he tries to say but I stick the sack over his head before he could finish that sentence, I glance to Riley worried he heard that, but he and Lukas were still having a heated discussion.

I now secure the sack to Toby's head making sure it wouldn't fall off, I didn't need him to feel the need to have the mate chat while we were sat in the car. I take old of his hands again, the sparks making a reappearance, just ignore it Taylor. I begin to guide him back over to the car, while Riley still hadn't put a single chain around Lukas. I open the door helping him to sit back down in his seat, I now had the task to put his seatbelt on. I lean over him to clip it in, as soon as I was close I had this weird pull feeling towards him. It was like there were two magnets between us that were trying to force us together, it was making the mission to find the seatbelt clip impossible.

"Why are you trying to resist the pull we have for one another, you know you want me as much as I want you" he mutters from the sack over his head, I choose to also ignore that where I finally manage to clip the seatbelt.

As I move to get out of the car, he grabs hold of one of my hands pulling me towards him. I take another quick look at Riley who was securing the sack to Lukas's face.

"You know you can't resist this feeling" Toby whispers pulling me even closer to him, I take hold of his hand and pull mine from his grasp.

"I would stop if I were you, let's remember who's wearing handcuffs and is blindfolded here" I say as I spot the sack falling from Lukas's head, why can't Riley just get that thing on?!

"Oh, you won't believe how badly I want these roles reserved" he mutters which I knew meant he was smirking, even though I couldn't see through the bag on his head.

I just roll my eyes moving fully out the car and closing the door behind me, I stand outside the car door collecting myself for a few seconds. I really do hope he doesn't continue doing that, because he's right, I don't know how long I'm gonna be able to resist the pull we have. I hear the car door being opened which told me Riley finally managed to get Lukas ready, I smile trying to act normal while climbing into the car. It doesn't take Riley that long to clip his seatbelt in before he climbs in the car, I guess we can say those two aren't mates!

We soon were driving towards the base, this time the car was silent. The whole time I was worried Toby was gonna say something, I didn't need him to say anything right now. Riley opens his window kind of annoyed, I send him a smile placing my hand on his shoulder thankfully, Toby not being able to see that. He looks over sending me a little smile before turning back to the road, I guess these two in the back are proving to be hard for both of us.

"How long are we gonna have to wear these?" Lukas asks from the back, really he can't even be quiet with a sack on his head?!

"Until we make it into the alliance, we can't let anyone know that you're in there without clearance" I explain pulling my phone out to text Morgan, we needed to be safely in our section of the alliance as quickly as possible.

"I'm gonna take a guess and say you're not allowed any visitors? "Lukas asks once again not knowing when to shut up, I look to Riley rolling my eyes while placing my arm on the window bit.

"Nope" was all Riley says his eyes not leaving the road, I could tell he hated being in his car right now as much as I did, probably even more.

"What if you were to find your mate, what would happen?" Toby asks speaking for the first time, what he said though was getting to me more than Lukas.

"If your mate isn't from the alliance you have three options" Riley explains not knowing how important what he was saying really was "you either tell your mate what you do and agree to see each other when you can, which is maybe two times a year. The second is you leave the alliance and your whole career goes down the plug hole, or you reject them" Riley says as I hear another very low growl in the back, I definitely knew where that came without having to look in the mirror this time.

I look to Riley who thankfully didn't hear anything, I turn to the mirror to see Lukas hitting Toby on the leg, basically telling him to stop. Wait so he knows?!

What Riley said was true, I had only three options ahead of me right now.
