Chapter Three

In what feels like forever we pull up at the gates of the alliance, now that would have calmed me down to have this car ride over. But the next task was to try and sneak these two in the building, we'd be in so much trouble if we were caught.

I pull the fake file Riley made up on the way here, apparently the two in the back are some very violent rouges. He even thought of a backstory for them and everything, if it doesn't work out for Riley in the alliance, he could totally become a writer! The gates open and we head towards the building, my heart was pounding in my chest.

"Two to be taken in to the block A, to be interviewed by Morgan Dufner" Riley says to the guard, who looks into the back at the guys sitting silently, for the first time this car ride, than turns to us with a smile.

"You two are really on a roll with your cases aren't you" he says while Riley passes him the case file to look through, not gonna lie this was the thing I was most worried about, these guys are trained to spot out fake case files.

He looks through it for a second before nodding  pressing the button to unlock the gates, in that moment I could have let out a huge sigh of relief. He passes the case file back over as the gates open, we wave goodbye to the guard beside driving through the gates.

"Well that went smoothly" Riley remarks as we head towards our block, each team as their own building, ours is block A.

"We're still not out of the woods just yet, we have to get them into the building without being caught" I say as we begin to drive past more people, I send a few of them a smile so I could be inconspicuous.

Once we were outside our building, Morgan stood outside holding the door open. I jump out running over to Toby's door, ignoring the pull was easy right now as I leant over to take his seatbelt off. Once he was free I take his hands in mine, it was a little harder to ignore the sparks if I'm being honest. I place my hand on his back as I lead him up the stairs, being careful to say which step was coming up and when. In no time I was walking through the door with him, this is when I could let out the huge sigh I was holding in.

"You know I make you that nervous when you're around me" Toby's whispers which does cause me to whip my head around, Morgan was helping Riley with Lukas so I was hoping he hadn't heard that.

"Please don't do this here" I plead with him as we arrive in our main room, this is where I take the sack off his head so we can now see each other.

"I will only stop if you admit to what we are, if not I will simply continue" he says getting close to my face as he spoke, now the sack was off his head it was harder to look anywhere else.

Before I could reply, Lukas and the guys walk in. I look away from Toby and begin to take the chains off his hands, waist and feet. Once I was finished, I take one more look at him before placing those chains on the counter.

Morgan comes to a stop in front is us waiting, I go and help Riley before we both stand either side of Morgan. Our hands behind our backs with our heads down, this is the way we have to stand when a person of authority, aka Morgan, gives orders. We are only allowed to move when he stands us down.

"Welcome Mr Mathews and Mr Thompson, we apologise for the way in which you were brought in, we have not got clearance for you to be here yet. But it was much too dangerous for you to not be here, so until that clearance goes through you'll need do stay in this building" Morgan starts which was very much true, we can't be caught out having people in here without clearance  "I hope Mr Wilson and Miss Westlake took care of you" he says slightly nudging Riley and I, yeah Toby's been making that fact rather difficult.

"Well they came here alive didn't they?" Riley mutters under his breath making me smirk, I wasn't allowed to laugh at this moment, but he was making that hard too!

"Why do you only address people with their surnames, why can't we know their first names?"Lukas asks intrigued, I was hoping the silence from the car ride was going to continue but I guess he can't just shut up.

"We use their surnames to protect them from people who might wish to harm them, but if they would like to disclose their names I have no problem with that" Morgan smiling looking towards Riley and I, what a way to put us on the spot?!

I take a look over at Riley who was looking at the ground, I didn't know if he really wanted these guys to know his name. But now Morgan has put us on the spot, it would be rude not to tell him!

"I'm Taylor and he's Riley" I say looking at the guys for a second before my eyes go to the floor once again, I move my eyes slightly to look at Riley who was just shaking his head, I didn't really have much choice!

"Well as I was previously saying, welcome to our little team. Our job here is to deal with werewolves who are getting threats or are in extreme danger, the team consists of myself of course, these two and finally are tech guy Brandon, who is just fetching more of the files" he explains which does explain why I didn't see Brandon, normally he's sat at a table typing away on his laptop.

Like on cue the door opens, I couldn't turn around but I could tell from the noises that it was Brandon. Morgan finally stands me and Riley down, so I could move away from Toby and go stand with Brandon. As I walk over he was lugging more files onto the table from the floor, I smile walking over to help him pick some up, while Riley went outside for a second.

"Thank you Taylor, there is more but Cooper's bringing them up" he explains while dumping himself on one of the chairs, he was severely out of breath.

I send him a smile picking the first file up, it was about the last person Richard attacked. Sadly, the person didn't live to tell the tale. We've been trying to track him with every attack he does, we found that that he likes to operate between a few packs. Which tells us he must live within or around where the packs are located, we thought we were so close to finding out where he was. But now Lukas is getting threats, it's sent us into a total spin. Normally, Richard operates between the Hillside pack and the Creek pack. Between those two packs are five different packs. Before this point, he's only done his horrible crimes in between those two packs. But Toby's pack is around ten miles away from the Creek pack, which means it's not in the middle where he normally attacks. We have to work out why he's moved locations and why he's targeting Lukas, something that might take awhile to find out.

The side door opens and in walks Cooper, holding the rest of the files that Brandon couldn't carry. He walks over plopping them down in front of Brandon, who just holds his thumb up as a thank you, he was still out of breath.

"Still looking fine Taylor" he smiles sending me a wink, Cooper and I have this playful flirty type of friendship, we don't mean anything by it though.

"Oh you know I try for you" I smile looking through one of the files he carried in, much quicker than Brandon had.

"I made sure to arrange them in the correct date and time for you" he smiles leaning on the door frame about to leave the room fully, that was actually a great idea.

"A man after my own heart" I smile looking up from the folder, he starts walking backwards out the door as he went.

"Anything for you sweet cheeks, I'll see you around" he winks before turning and leaving the room, I just smile shaking my head before sitting next to Brandon to start going through the files.

This is when I felt eyes just piecing through me, I take a look up to see Toby just staring me out. His eyes were a shade darker as he looked at me, honestly he looked pissed. This is when I remember, he would have just seen the way me and Cooper were acting, wait is he jealous?

I just roll my eyes at him before going back to what I was doing, I didn't have time to deal with some jealous Alpha right now. I start to highlight some things as Riley walks back in, he looks much calmer than he did which was a huge relief, he'd be no help if he was stressing about stuff.

"You've had a rough day, Taylor show them where their rooms are located" Morgan says to the guys but turns to me, can't he see that I'm trying to work right?! And this meant I'm gonna have to walk beside a jealous Alpha, but of course I have to say yes due to his status.

I nod placing the file down and standing up, luckily I hadn't taken my key card from around my neck yet. To get to anywhere in this place you need to have a card to let you through, it's just to make sure if a prisoner ever got out they couldn't get far.

I walk across the room and passed Toby, who I knew wanted nothing more than to stop me. I was soon leading them down the hall and towards their bedrooms, which were still located in our building. We couldn't have people that weren't part of our team seeing them, once again we'd be in so much trouble.

In no time we arrive at their rooms, I use the key card to open the main door allowing them to walk in first. Inside there were two doors that led to two different bedrooms, thankfully they couldn't leave the main door without a key card. I don't know what Toby would do if he had that power, Lukas thanks me before walking into his room leaving Toby and I alone.

"Who was that guy?" He asks in a dark tone, he doesn't actually look at me and stares at the floor, I knew who he was talking about but I decide to play dumb "that Cooper guy!" He shouts loudly, luckily all the doors and walls were soundproof.

"If you know his name, why ask me?" I ask with a shrug of my shoulders, I wasn't gonna play into his stupid jealous games "now I'm gonna leave and get back to work, maybe I'll see Cooper along the way" I smirk about to turn around and leave, but I'm grabbed and pinned against the wall by the angry Alpha once again.

"Don't test Taylor, it will not end well for you or that piece of shit outside" he angrily growls so close to my face I felt his hot breath brush my skin, being this close was proving hard to ignore the feelings.

"I know you're feeling the same things I am, why are you trying dismiss it?" He whispers close to my ear once again, it was taking everything in me not to melt at his words.

"Because I can't do this, I can't have a mate and quite frankly, I don't want one" I say pushing his face away from me slightly "I, Taylor Westlake, reject-" I start to say but he places his hand over my mouth growling.

"Don't you DARE" he growls looking me dead in the eyes as he went, his eyes were now pitch black with anger "how dare you try to reject me, I could mark you right now and be done with it" he growls his face now moving to the side of my neck, oh hell no!

"I wasn't actually gonna do it, I just wanted to see how you would react if tried, it was exactly the way I thought you would" I smirk pulling his face away from me once again, I liked playing with people "but I'm not leaving the alliance, I have not worked my entire life just to as Riley said, flush it down the plughole!" I exclaim pulling me off me as I went, I didn't need him up in all my business!

"We're destined to be with each other, I can give you the life of your dreams if you leave" he tells me coming closer to me once again, it was so tempting to just accept his offer but I couldn't.

"This is my life, I don't know what I'm gonna do but I know for sure it's not me leaving the alliance. I don't want to reject you but I don't wanna leave here, you just have to give me time to decide what I want to do and not try to force me into what you want" I tell him pushing at his chest again, but this time he doesn't budge "please I need to get back to work" I say looking at his eyes this time, he sighs moving back slightly allowing me to swipe my card to unlock the door.

"You can't resist the feeling Taylor, the more you attempt to the harder it will get" he says leaning against the door frame of his room, I knew what he was saying was correct.

"Goodnight Toby" I smile before walking out the door and closing it behind me, this meant he couldn't walk back out now.

With that, I turn and fully leave the section not even turning to see what he was doing.

I had no idea what I was gonna decide.
