Chapter Thirty

People had already called him handsome a number of times already, and some even called him intelligent. He had heard a lot of good things, compliments from other people, but he didn’t know why Seleen saying that his eyes were pretty seemed like the best thing that he had heard for so long. It seemed like it was the best compliment that he ever had in his entire life. When she said that, it left him speechless for a whole minute, and he didn’t even bother thinking whether he looked dumb staring at her like that. He just stared at her with his mouth slightly parted, allowing his brain to register the compliment that she just said. “T-Thank you,” he said after realizing that he had been staring at her for too long already. Truth to be told, he didn’t know exactly why she said that as he found his own eyes j

Chapter Thirty-One

Although Sane liked being a leader from time to time, and to feel responsible with things, there were times when Sane would want to be just an ordinary student who had no leadership responsibility in the university. Since he was young, he would often be nominated as the classroom’s president or as the representative of the batch. That was undoubtedly the reason why people would often refer to him as one of the most responsible persons that they knew in life, even when he would think at times that he was the other wise. That was one of those moments when Sane was feeling the exact same. He was even just trying to hide the frustration that he was feeling slightly on his chest. He wasn’t complaining that he was needed as he knew his responsibility as the student council president, but even so, he still wanted to explore the different booths together with Seleen and Haniel.

Chapter Thirty-Two

His mother used to tell him that he had a way around people, and he was naturally an empathetic person. That was the reason why it was easy for him to get along with everyone, even when people literally had different personalities, and were taking different paths in life. He also remembered that she told him that his personality was in the middleline. That made him confused at first because he was still very young when he was told all of that. But now that years had passed and he was already older, everything that his mother said seemed to allow him to realize that maybe it was really the truth. Now, he was finally able to experience the circumstance where he was left to think about him as a whole because he had all the time to think about other people, but not so much about himself.  He came to a realization that maybe, his per

Chapter Thirty-Three

It wasn’t like it was Sane’s first time to face that huge number of people as during his campaign period, they needed to talk in front of the whole school to convince people why they  should vote for them with their different platforms. He wasn’t a stranger when it came to that. However, the nervousness that he was feeling in his chest was different from the nervousness that he felt back then. It might be because he came in front of the audience utterly prepared, compared to his current situation.  Not to mention that he was also standing beside different popular and handsome guys who made him feel like he didn’t belong there. He couldn’t listen properly to what the host was saying as the hard beating of his chest was already ringing in his ears. He kept looking at his well-polished shoes that someone just allowed him to borrow. He couldn’t stare

Chapter Thirty-Four

He was too preoccupied for him to realize that someone just bid 450 for him, and that person also happened to be his highest bidder. He only realized that that was the case when the bidding was already concluded, and he was already walking his way back to change to his regular clothes.  Sofia and the rest of his companions couldn’t contain their happiness as they approached him, the girl immediately hugged him in excitement. “My goodness, you did so well, Pres! I told you everything would turn out fine!” she exclaimed, shaking him although she was way smaller than he was. Sane, even when he was still preoccupied with the thought of Seleen who he could no longer see anywhere, couldn’t help but smile before shaking his head. “To tell you honestly, I wasn’t expecting it at all. Thank you for the

Chapter Thirty-Five

Even when he wanted the third day of the foundation week to be a little peaceful for him, it wasn’t what happened, but he had no choice but to just go on with it as he didn’t have the heart to even complain about things. Why would he do so? People just wanted to enjoy the foundation week by spending a few minutes with him. He couldn’t just say no to that. Sane woke up that morning, and saw that it was already six in the morning which meant that he was already late. The moment he opened his eyes, he was startled to see that he wasn’t in his room, but the memories of what happened the night prior allowed him to calm down immediately. He found himself lying down on the comforter still, but his head was already resting on a pillow, and there was already a blanket covering his body.  He allowed himself to proc

Chapter Thirty-Six

Sane went home that night with his clouds still a little wet because of the rain. It was already two in the midnight when the rain finally settled. He still wanted them to try searching for Saturn, especially when the sky was finally clear from the thick clouds, but it was already way too late. He only had a few more hours to sleep in the first place, although he knew that he didn't have to go to the university as early as before as there weren’t any new activities for the day. Even when that was the case, he still didn’t want to go there super late as he was the student council president, and it would be bad of an example if he'd arrive there late.   He needed to bid Seleen farewell because it was needed, but he chose to leave the telescope there under the care of the girl as he planned to go back so that they could try again. Hopefully, the heavens would be on their side at that time becaus

Chapter Thirty-Seven

The stress that was showing in Haniel’s countenance was evident when he saw her that day. It was already the last day of the foundation week, and he knew that it wasn’t because they needed to do a lot of things, but because of the news that The Dotish would finally be there to perform. He wasn;t sure whether they’d arrive there earlier because maybe, they wanted to hangout, and explore the different booths that they prepared, but even when that wouldn’t be the case, Sane was still happy that they’d be there, especially when he was aware how busy they had been since they signed the contract.   They had also announced that the performance of The Dotish was already confirmed to happen, making people immediately ecstatic after the news was announced all over the campus. It wasn’t long since they left, but they were already getting even more popular. It was no doubt that almost everyone in Penny L

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Sane didn’t really think much about Jules, especially when he had already thought that he’d never see the guy ever again. He thought he’d never be back again as he already had a new and apparently better life there so what was the point of thinking about someone who abandoned him? Who abandoned the girl who he promised to love for eternity? The moment he dropped them like a hot potato, as if they didn’t share years together.  He couldn’t imagine how hard it could’ve been for Haniel who took years for her to heal from the heartbreak and trauma that he caused, and now that she was finally ready to try again, he went back. And he just didn’t go back alone, he was with the guy that Haniel wanted to give a chance to. He wondered what the girl could’ve been thi

Chapter Thirty-Nine

There were a lot of things that were going on inside Sane’s mind as he ran after Seleen. He couldn’t see her even when it wasn’t long until he followed her a while ago. Maybe she was a fast runner, he wasn’t sure. As he ran, he could feel the worry on his chest growing bigger and bigger the more minutes passed, and he still hadn’t seen her. The guilt that he felt on his chest was telling him to leave Seleen alone because he’d only cause trouble for her, trouble that she didn’t deserve, but his worry towards the girl was greater than the guilt that he was feeling. He was afraid that something bad would happen to her especially when she was prone to anxiety and panic attacks.   Even before, he had already witnessed her in a state of a panic attack, and it was something that he never wanted her to experience again. Even the janitors who had been looking out for the girl's well being told him not
