98. Making a mental vow

Dario’s POV

The creaking sound of the door, and the realization that hit me, stirred up bitter emotions. Agitated, I kicked the door down. I was unaware of the woman who was behind me until I had heard her speak.

“Sir! This is wrong!” She called out, I glanced her way for a second, placing my eyes back on the room in front, of me, which was empty.

“I’ll tell the guards to kick you out!” Her voice rose, and I turned to look at her again. “I will pay for the damages.”

I looked towards Jonas, who got the hint immediately handing the woman my credit card which she took without hesitation. The woman seemed satisfied but she didn’t leave my sight, she remained glued, her eyes shinning with curiosity as I moved farther into the room.

I tore my gaze away, placing it back on the room. What I found inside reduced the shivers that ran down my spine. There was sign of an attack, the bed was neatly made, and everywhere was intact. I moved deeper, and I saw a bag perched beside her bed.
