101. My heart sank...

Isla’s POV

The haunting melody of distant music drifted through the walls. I was still lost in thoughts, reeling from the harrowing ordeal I was facing. My mind gradually became numb to the world around me.

Amidst the faint strains of music, a sharp clearing of the throat jolted me back to the present. I turned my gaze towards Axel, the orchestrator of my torment, and trust me when I say he was doing a pretty good job.

With my eyes fixed on him, I noticed the unnaturally wide grin that adorned his face. It was a smile of triumph, a sadistic satisfaction, I couldn't help but feel a pang of unease at the sight of it.

I felt like he had something up his sleeves he was about to unleash. Was he going to ask me do something once again? Or was he planning to shot another man?

I didn’t know what to do, I just stared his way, with fear tingling within me.
