Arriving at the hotel, I checked my phone to see the time. Only then did I realize I had the phone on silent and had thirteen missed calls. I didn’t recognize the number and considered calling them back after checking on Lia. Before I put my phone back in my pocket, it lit up again with the same unknown number.

“Hello?” I answered the phone as I walked toward the elevator and pressed the button.

“Thank you!” A familiar female voice sounded breathless. “I was starting to worry that I wouldn’t be able to get ahold of anyone.”

“Who is this?” I asked as I waited for the elevator to arrive.

“My name is Silica.” She answered, but before I could ask why she was calling me, she continued talking. “I don’t have time to explain all the details, but I need to talk to your wife. Is she near you?”

“No, she is meeting with Shaw Payne right now.” I answered.
