Chapter 33

Over the course of three days, it was impossible to get away from Zydan. He hovered over her and wouldn’t give her any room. At night, I would try leaving through the bedroom door, but he slept in the shared closet, where I couldn’t get past him without waking him. I have gone as far as climbing over the balcony, but Zydan had men stationed everywhere.

After he brought me home, I learned he hired guards to protect me. I knew I could find a way to escape at any point during the three days, but I decided not to push my luck. Luckily, today, he decided to go to work and leave me at the apartment alone.

I would be happy to know Zydan cares if it weren't annoying. I just felt as if he was taking things a little too far. Lying on my bed, I waited for Eclipse to let me know he was ready to create a distraction.
