I don’t know how someone has managed to pull one over on me for the second time. I had left to go to the store, but as soon as I entered the parking garage to leave, something hit me from behind, like a needle or something. I have always thought I was agile enough to avoid getting thrown off guard, but obviously, I wasn’t.

When I woke up for the second time in a strange place, I felt relieved when I sensed my wolf. I thought it would take more time for my wolf to return. The fact that she was returning now couldn’t have been better timing.

I was currently tied to a chair, with chains wrapped around my ankles and wrists. I knew I could get free without much effort with my wolf, but I sensed my wolf wasn’t at full strength yet. For now, I need to bide my time and assess the situation. It was clear someone had it out for me.

Trying not to make any sudden movements, I looked around the area. Building materials surrounded me, acting as a wall, so I couldn’t figure out where I was.
