Returning to my office, I saw Matt working his way through the helping of spaghetti I had given him. Instead of staying in the office to call my dad, I grabbed my phone and went to Silica’s office. After calling my father, I nervously told him I had lost my charms but found my mother’s. I then explained that the charm wasn’t strong enough.

I expected him to get upset with me or ask me how I lost it, but he didn’t do either. “There is a place you can go to enhance the charm. Your wolf is a lot stronger than your mother’s was.”

I thought he would want to talk a little more, but he told me he had to go as he was busy with something. Once he hung up, I received a text with the location where I needed to go to enhance the charm. It was on the way to the apartment, so I figured I could swing by when Silica took me home.
