Over the weekend, I tried to focus on anything except Zydan and Arielle, so I stayed at the Base to study my mother’s things. When I dropped by the house on my way to work to get changed, I noticed Zydan hadn’t been home either. It was probably for the best that we gave each other a little space.

“Are you sure you want to go in today?” Silica asked after I was finished getting ready for work.

Silica had come with me because I decided to transfer everything I had of my mother's at the apartment back to the Base. I had a feeling I would be spending a lot of time there. I decided that until Zydan got his priorities straight, I didn’t need to stress over him.

“I am sure. Even if I don’t want to deal with Zydan or Arielle right now, I still have to go to work. I hope to talk to Jason later and gain insight into this microchip situation. I heard he had studied microchips in college.”
