Damien

“You’ve lost your mind, Damien!” Gemma’s voice broke through the sound of clinking metal, that echoed in the gym.

She stood near the door, her arms crossed, watching me with a look of frustration in her eyes.

I didn’t stop lifting. “What are you talking about?” I grunted, feeling the strain in my arms as I did another rep.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” she shot back. “You don’t eat, you barely sleep, and all you do is obsess over finding that girl. It’s pathetic.”

“I’m not obsessed,” I said through clenched teeth, dropping the dumbbells to the floor with a heavy thud. “She’s important to this gang.”

Gemma scoffed. “In what way? Tell me, Damien, because none of us can see it. She’s just a liability.”

“I owe you no explanations,” I snapped, grabbing a towel and wiping the sweat off my face. “Now leave me alone.”

But Gemma didn’t leave. She stepped closer, her tone softening. “You don’t even care about me anymore, do you?” she murmured, reaching out to touch my arm. “I’ve been here for you through everything, and yet all your focus is on her.”

“Gemma, not now,” I warned, my voice low.

Ignoring me, she leaned in; her face inches from mine. Before I could react, she tried to press her lips to mine, but the door burst open, and one of my men stormed in.

“Boss!” he called out in an urgent voice. “The girl is at the gate. She looks injured.”

My heart skipped a beat. “The girl?” I paused, and the realization hit me. “Allison.”

Without another word, I brushed past Gemma, walking out of my gym.

As I approached the gate, I saw her, and my eyes widened in shock. Blood stained her dress, and she clutched her stomach, barely able to stand.

“Damien,” she said weakly, her eyes locking onto mine.

Something twisted in my chest at the sight of her. Relief, anger, and something else I couldn’t quite name washed over me.

“What happened?” I demanded, stepping closer to examine her wounds.

She winced as she spoke. “After I escaped from Alberto’s men. There was a guy... He said he’d help me find my way to you. He took me to the highlands, and when I didn’t give him what he wanted, he did this.” She gestured to her stomach, her voice breaking.

I clenched my jaw. “Don’t you ever learn? Stop taking help from strangers!”

“Should we call a doctor, boss?” one of my men asked as I peered their way.

“No,” I said firmly. “I’ll handle it.”

Without hesitation, I scooped Allison into my arms and carried her inside. Her body was limp against mine, and I could feel her trembling.

“You know,” I began as we moved through the hallways, “I went after you as soon as I heard Alberto had taken you. I really tried to look for you after you were gone.”

Why did I need to tell her about this? It’s like I wanted her to know that I cared or something.

Fuck! I’m doing it again, acting like a fucking weakling.

“I know you would come after me!” Allison’s voice caught my attention. “I have the feeling that Alberto is still going to look for me and try to…”

“You don’t have to worry about him anymore. He won’t be bothering you—or this gang.” I said in a rogue voice.

She looked up at me, her eyes narrowing. “What do you mean?”

“I killed him,” I said flatly.

She didn’t flinch. It was as if she’d expected it. That reaction unsettled me more than I cared to admit.

Reaching my room, I laid her down gently on the bed and grabbed the first aid kit.

“You need to take off the dress,” I said, my voice matter-of-fact.

Her hands fumbled with the fabric, but she was too weak to manage. Sighing, I helped her, peeling the blood-soaked gown away to reveal her pale skin. My fingers brushed against her stomach as I worked to clean the wound, and I felt an unexpected heat rising in me.

Focus, Damien.

But I couldn’t stop my eyes from straying. The lace of her panties clung to her curves, and memories of that night—her bent over, her round ass—flashed through my mind.

“Fuck,” I muttered under my breath, shaking my head.

“What’s wrong?” she asked, her voice soft.

“Nothing,” I lied, returning to the task at hand. “I was just thinking. Now that Alberto’s gone, his allies will retaliate. But I’m going to make sure we’re ready.”

She nodded weakly. “What’s the plan?”

I straightened up, my work on her wound finished. “Rest now. When you’re stronger, we’ll talk about it. But no mistakes this time, Allison.”

She nodded again, her eyes displaying how exhausted she was.

As I packed away the first aid supplies, I glanced back at her. “I’m glad you’re back,” I said, my voice softer than I intended. “I’ve missed making you suffer.”

Her lips parted as if to respond, but I didn’t give her the chance. I turned and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind me.

Once outside, I leaned against the wall, trying to steady my racing heart.

What the hell is wrong with me?

My wounds had completely healed, and I was back to being Damien’s puppet.“It sounds simple doesn’t it?” Damien asked, staring at me.“Yes it does.” I replied. “I must warn you, as simple as the plan sound. It is also very risky.” He said, starting the engine. “Ares is young, and because of that his brothers would do anything to protect him. They are also far more dangerous than you can imagine.”“I have seen far more dangerous men, and I have dealt with them.” I said.“Look at you, sounding like a gangster.” Damien laughed. I reached out grabbing her hands and leading her down the stairs. But the shots continued shattering more glasses, and suddenly the sound of a voice I knew so well filled the air.“Come on santos!” Ares elder brother yelled. “I know you’re in there.”“Shit!” I muttered moving in the direction of a room. DamienI paced around the waiting room, trying to keep my calm but I couldn’t. Alison has been in the emergency room for the past fifteen minutes.I was losing my mind, and it was strange because I never lost my mind about anything. Even at gunpoint I stood firm, not caring about the consequences, but here I was afraid of losing someone I barely knew. What has Alison done to me? I was gradually becoming a shadow of myself, letting my emotions rule over my strong judgment and beliefs. It was frustrating just thinking about it. I couldn’t continue like this. I had to do something, but what?I knew the only way to stop me from acting this way was to get rid of Alison, but was I ready to do that?I couldn’t bring myself to answer that because I knew the answer would only remind me of my weakness.I pulled myself out of my thoughts, and my eyes glanced at the door. It was closed.I sighed, leaning against the wall. Involuntarily, my mind traveled to our moment at the mansion, taking me bac

AlisonThe creak of the door opening pulled my attention, and for a moment, I thought it might be Damien. Ever since I woke up in the hospital, he had been absent—no visits, no word from him at all. Instead, it was Hugh who had brought me back from the hospital. I had asked Hugh about Damien that night during the drive home, but all he told me was that Damien had important matters to attend to. I wanted to press for more answers, but I knew letting my desperation show would only work against me.When I peered at the door, I realized it wasn’t Damien. It was Gemma. What did she want?Gemma strode into the room with her piercing gaze locking onto mine.“Damien sent me to get you,” she announced with a stern look on her face.I stayed rooted in place, my instincts screaming not to trust her. Memories of our first encounter flashed in my mind—how she had lured me into a dark dungeon under false pretenses and left me battered and bruised.“Did you hear what I said?” Gemma snapped. I could

Alison I stood at the back of the mansion, my phone trembling in my hand. It was midnight, and I had woken up to see that Aiden had returned my call from earlier, and now I couldn’t bring myself to call him back because of my fucking guilt.Aiden’s words from our last conversation haunted me: “Did Damien ever touch you?”I closed my eyes. Shame rushed over me as I remembered my encounter with Damien. How had I allowed that to happen? If Hugh hadn’t showed up I would have let Damien go farther.Suddenly, Damien’s voice echoed in my head, “You’re doing things to me that I don’t fucking understand.”Was it just lust for him too, or something else entirely? The tension in my body hadn’t eased, as I still thought about Hugh and what had transpired between us.At this point, my mind was fueled by frustration and anger. I needed a drink. As I headed down to my wine cellar, I barely made it halfway before Hugh stepped out of the shadows, blocking my path. I clenched my jaw. “Not in the mood, Hugh.” He didn’t move, and that made me even more angry.“I don’t want to talk to you.” I declared.“Stop acting like a fucking child!” Hugh said and my eyes widened.“Says the man that acted in a crazed manner.” I groaned and Hugh seemed to take my words to heart because I noticed as. His expression went from neutral to angry.“If anyone was to hear what I did they would commend my actions,” Hugh said. “I acted like a true mafia leader.”“You took matters into your own hands there’s nothing true about that .” Hugh crossed his arms. “I did what was necessary.” I let out a bitter laugh.

Alison I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head as my eyes fluttered open. The world around me was blurry at first, but as my vision cleared, I realized I was in an unfamiliar room. My arms were numb, and when I tried to move, I felt the rough bite of ropes cutting into my wrists. I was tied to a chair. I blinked hard, forcing myself to focus. Then my eyes landed on Hugh. He stood in front of me with a stern expression. For a moment, I didn’t know if I was still dreaming, if maybe this was some horrible nightmare I was about to wake up from. But the cold metal of the chair beneath me and the tight restraints around my wrists told me this was very real. I swallowed hard. “Why am I here?” Hugh smirked and took a slow step forward. “You don’t know?” I shook my head, refusing to let the fear show. “No.” “Well,” he said, pulling out a gun and leveling it at my face, “you’re about to find out.” My pulse skyrocketed, my breath hitching as I stared down the barrel of the gun. Damien The hours felt like they dragged on as I sat at the bar. I hadn't seen Alison for a while, and I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that something was wrong. I tried to convince myself that maybe I was just overthinking things, but I couldn’t get rid of that restless feeling within me. Where was she? And why was she taking too long?I stood up abruptly, tossing a few bills on the counter, not bothering to finish my drink. I needed to find her. I pushed through the crowd and made my way toward the restroom area, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, but there was no sign of her anywhere. I approached a lady coming out of the bathroom stall. “Excuse me,” I said, trying to remain calm, “Have you seen a woman about this tall? Long hair, wearing a dark dress?” I gave her the most detailed description I could muster. She looked at me, furrowing her brow, and shook her head. “Sorry, no one like that.” I raised up my brow, not convinced by her words. “Are you sure? She was with me

I Alison My eyes fell on the drink I was once nursing avoiding Damien’s alluring stare. Once again, Damien had messed with my mind. It was almost like I was stuck in a loop, constantly coming close to something with Damien, but never really crossing the line. That moment, just before he leaned in to kiss me, left me yearning for more. But it wasn’t just that. It wasn’t just his touch or the way his presence seemed to consume me. It was everything. It was the tension between us, the way he could completely control the situation. Sighing, I let myself collapse into the seat, my hand resting on my lap. Damien, noticing my frustration, turned his head to look at me. That sly grin crept onto his face, the one that seemed to make him look so infuriatingly in control of everything. "What’s wrong?" he asked, in a calm voice. Almost too calm. The nerve of him, acting like nothing had happened. Just like what he did when he fucked Gemma in front of me. I wanted to scream at him
