Damien

"You told me this was going to be a fast operation," I said, my frustration spilling over as I watched Hernando walk out of his study.

I had been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for news from Henry, and I was beginning to lose my patience.

Hernando didn’t even look at me as he adjusted the cuffs of his sleeve. "It is. You need to calm down, Damien," he said as he continued his slow stride across the hall.

"It has been a week, Hernando," I shot back. "It’s been a damn week. How much longer are we supposed to wait for this job to be done?"

He finally stopped walking and turned to face me, that typical smile playing on his lips. "The job will be done. You’re just too impatient." His tone was infuriatingly casual as if he couldn’t understand the gravity of the situation.

"I can’t calm down," I muttered, more to myself than to him. This wasn’t just about a job. It was about Alison.

I couldn’t sit still and wait forever, not when every passing minute felt like it was slipping awa

RaeI stirred slowly, as I took in the world around me. My lashes fluttered, and when my vision adjusted, the first thing I saw was Von, sitting by my side with his hand wrapped gently around mine.“How… how did you get here?” I asked, and my voice sounded scratchy and weak.Von immediately leaned forward, his thumb stroking my wrist. “Shhh, don’t stress yourself,” he said softly. “Just… relax, Rae. I’m here.”I blinked at him, confused, trying to sit up. “Why are you suddenly caring about me now?” I asked, bitterness slipping through my tone before I could stop it. “You didn’t seem to care before…”He looked down for a moment, almost ashamed. “I know,” he said. “I shouldn’t have acted the way I did. I was so… caught up in everything. Frustrated. Blinded. And it nearly cost me you.”His voice cracked slightly, and he reached out to brush a stray hair from my face.“I should’ve thought,” he whispered. “But instead, I acted. And that was a mistake. I’m sorry, Rae.”“It’s fine…” I murmur

Damien The news was everywhere by Monday. Blasted across headlines, whispered in hushed voices on radio stations, and dissected by reporters with hollow empathy. “Alison Jones Confirmed Dead—Wife of Billionaire and Harrow town’s mayor—Aiden Jones Dies at Mental Health Facility.” I sat frozen, glued to the television screen, every pixel stabbing through my chest like broken glass. My fingers curled tightly around the neck of the bottle in my hand as I watched the funeral procession unfold on the live broadcast. The camera zoomed in on the black casket being lowered into the ground, surrounded by roses and men in dark suits. Front and center, flanked by a fortress of bodyguards, stood Aiden Jones. He wore a neutral expression at first then suddenly his expression changed and he appeared sad like he had just been stabbed in the heart. I narrowed my eyes at the screen, hate burning under my skin like wildfire. “I wish I could make you cry for real,” I muttered under my breat

Author’s note: This book is dedicated to all the girls who love mafia men. “I wouldn’t have gotten married to you if I knew you were nothing but a cheat!” Aiden screamed. He grabbed my arm, yanking me backward with a force that sent me crashing into the cold wall. “Aiden, please,” I sobbed, my voice trembling as I slid down the wall onto my knees. “I don’t know what happened! I swear, I—” “Don’t you dare lie to me!” Aiden cut me off, his finger pointed at me like a dagger. “I caught you, in bed with another man. What could you possibly say to defend that? Huh?” “Aiden, I… I don’t remember…” “Stop!” he roared, stepping back as if my presence disgusted him. “I don’t want to hear it!” I crawled toward him, grabbing at his pant leg desperately. “Please, Aiden. Don’t do this. Let me explain—” Aiden shook me off, turning to flash me a cold look. “Save your breath. You’ve destroyed everything. No form of explanation would make things better.” With that, he stormed out of the hote

Alison“Steal?” I said in a shocking tone. “I’m not doing that.”“You have no choice err…” he looked at me, with those dark eyes that made my skin crawl. “What’s your name?”“It’s Alison.” I replied. “And I’m not stealing for you. If there’s something else I could do…”“Alison!” He called my name and I wondered why until he spoke up again. “Do you want the bouncer to throw you out? Because I wouldn’t hesitate to tell them that you tried to do something shady.”I sighed. I couldn’t get thrown out. I needed to see Adam. He was the only one who could save me from sleeping on the streets.“Are you going to do what I ask or should I call the bouncer?” I was trapped. I just had to do it.“Okay what do you want me to steal?” I said and a smirk popped up on his lips. It could be mistaken for a smile because of the way his eyes radiated.“You see that man over there with the hat. He has a watch placed in his pocket all you have to do is swipe it off him and bring it to me.”“What if he ca

Alison“Where are we going?” I finally asked, breaking the silence. We had been driving for hours, heading down the path that led out of the city. I was beginning to feel uneasy. The stranger’s dark eyes flicked to me in the rearview mirror. “The Highlands,” he said simply. “The Highlands?” I asked.“My home,” he added, offering no further explanation. Finally we pulled into a long, winding driveway. Guards were stationed outside, and they bowed their hands when he stepped out.“Damien!” A man called out walking in our direction, and I saw the stranger look his way.‘So that was his name?’ I thought to myself. “I thought you were dead,” The man continued. “You didn’t pick up my calls or reply to my messages.” “I had things to handle.” Damien said, in a firm tone. The man’s brows furrowed. “By things, you mean a bimbo?” He jerked his head in my direction, his scornful gaze raking over me. “The girl isn’t the reason I disappeared for days Hugh,” Damien replied evenly. “Our path

Alison I stared at Damien in disbelief. “You heard what I said.” His voice was cold, and his eyes distance. “Take off those clothes.” “I can’t.” I replied. “I don’t want to…” The cold calculating looking on his face faded, and a smirk popped up. “Do you think I want to fuck you?” I didn’t say anything I just stared at him. He chucked. “You’re not my type, Alison.” I noticed as he pulled out a red dress, handing it over to me. “Wear it or I will have to strip you down myself, and drape it over your head.” He said. I collected the dress, and Damien gave me a warm look. “Good girl.” “If I do this would I leave this place?” I asked ignoring his words. “Do you want to die?” He asked in a casual tone. I shook my head. “Then stop asking questions. You have one minute to get dressed. I will be waiting in the car.” He walked away leaving me alone, as I held the dress. I hated the fact that he was doing this. I got dressed quickly and when I got inside the car I asked Damien t

Damien ‘When did I become so weak?’ I muttered to myself as I watched as one of my men directed Alison out of the room. It was unlike me not to inflict punishment when need be. ‘What was wrong with me?’ “Damien!” The sound of my name being called caused me to pull myself out of my thoughts. I turned to see Gemma standing right in front of me. “Hugh has sent me to call you. He said he has something important to discuss.” “Tell him I would be there shortly.” I said to Gemma not giving her a second glance. My eyes were on Alison and the moment she was about to be directed down the corridor I shouted, gaining the attention of my men. “Bring her back.” I said. I saw Alison’s face change as I spoke. “Damien! Hugh has something really important to discuss.” Gemma spoke up again. I rolled my eyes, placing my gaze on Gemma. “Didn’t you hear what I said?” She nodded, and I placed my eyes back on Alison as I spoke. “Go deliver my message.” “You know she’s distracting you.” Gemma spo

You’re showing the enemies that we are weak.”“You need to calm down Damien!” Hugh said, and I furrowed my brows.“I can’t calm down.” My voice increased, and saw fear take over the eyes of my men.“You have failed me. All of you.”I said with my eyes landing on each, and everyone of them. “And you know what happens when you fail me.”I watched as they dropped to them knees. Their face covered in more fear as they looked at me.“We are sorry boss.” They said. “We didn’t mean to—““Silence!” I growled, raising up a hand. “Your pleads won’t save you. You all will be punished once I return.”Then my gaze focused on Ollie. “I want the keys to the truck. I’m going to the city.“The minute my men walked a

Alison I waited for the next group activity, hoping I’d see Henry again. When Friday finally came, I was basking in joy. The minute the door opened my eyes landed on nurse Mary.“Come!” She instructed and I followed. The guard took his position beside us as we began to walk, but when crossed an open door another nurse called Nurse Mary’s attention.“Is there a problem?” Nurse Mary asked. She nodded. “Yes, and It’s about her.”Immediately she said that Nurse Mary stepped inside. I tensed the minute she shut the door. Why did that nurse want to talk about me? Did she know about the letter that Henry gave me?As those thoughts filled my mind, my curiosity grew.I could feel my heart rate increase, the anxiety crawling up my spine. I needed to know what they were saying, but their words were muffled by the door.I casually leaned against the door, pretending to rest, but every fiber of my being was focused on trying to catch even a snippet of their conversation. It was no use, though.

Damien The second our jet touched down on the rooftop helipad of the penthouse. My eyes landed on Raul. He was strolling casually across the stone path leading toward the private entrance, but the moment his eyes caught mine, he froze. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. Raul threw his hands over his eyes, wiping them off and after he pulled them aside I saw the look on his face widen.“Unbelievable!” He muttered loud enough for only him to hear. My excellent mouth-reading skills made it so easy for me to read his lips.Suddenly, I watched as he turned, and it seemed he was ready to bolt.“Don’t run, Raul,” I called out, in a loud voice that I was sure could be heard beyond the penthouse walls. “There’s no point.”He stopped mid-step. I watched as his shoulders tensed, and his head hung low. For a moment, he didn’t turn around. Then slowly, reluctantly, he pivoted to face me. His eyes were glassy like he was choking on regret. “None of this was my fault,” he mouthed, this time

  • Tied To The Mafia Boss   Chapter 106

Alison After what happened with Mabel, everything changed. They said it was for my safety, but it felt more like punishment—like they wanted to strip me of whatever little grasp I still had on reality. I was confined to my room like a prisoner, only allowed out once a week for group activities. That was the only time I saw other patients. The rest of the week? Solitude. Silence. Staring at the same ceiling until it looked like it was breathing. I missed the things that helped me stay sane. Painting. Movement. Even meaningless chatter with Nurse Mary before I knew what was behind that mask of kindness. Now, all of that was gone, and the weight of isolation pressed down on my chest. And then there was Damien. My mind wandered to him more often than it should have. Was Mabel telling the truth? Had Aiden’s men really caught him?Fear crawled up my spine whenever I let myself believe she might have been right. I felt so far away from everything. Forgotten. Alone. “Alison!” Nur

Von “How did you find me?” My voice came out as a whisper, strained and rasped from the panic that had been choking me for hours.Hernando leaned against the car, arms crossed, the door still half open behind him. He acted so calm as if he hadn’t just ambushed me. As if he hadn’t just shattered the only hope I had left for freedom.“Did Raul tell you I escaped?” I asked, my voice rising, as my shocking look turned to curiosity.Hernando’s gaze flicked to the dark street, then back to me. He stepped forward, his face covered by the low streetlight.“I didn’t need Raul to tell me,” he said, in a firm tone. “I have security cameras planted in every corner of my estate. I saw it all play out, Damien.”My fists clenched at my sides. Fuck! When didn’t I think of that? I should have known that an estate like that would have cameras everywhere.“You trusted the wrong person,” he added. “Raul isn’t as clever as you gave him credit for.”A deep, frustrated groan tore from my throat. I turned a

Alison "Mrs. Jones!" A familiar voice caught my attention. My head turned, and there stood Nurse Mary at the end of the corridor, her smile far too bright for the dullness that lived in this place.“What?” I spat. “Your sister is here to see you.” She responded.I blinked slowly, my appetite vanishing as quickly as the warmth in the soup I'd been eating. It suddenly tasted like water all of a sudden. I set the tray aside and stood up, my knees stiff from sitting in the hard chair too long. Behind me, a guard stirred, his boots echoing ominously as he began to follow.Nurse Mary walked ahead, her white clogs squeaking against the tile floor. I walked in silence, sandwiched between her and the guard like some fragile prisoner. As we passed a glass door, I paused. The reflection staring back at me made my breath seizeI looked like a stranger—thin, and pale, and my eyes seemed empty. My once-lustrous hair was tied back into a dry, messy bun, and the white scrubs hung off my frame li

DamienI tugged the black hoodie down low over my head, tightening the drawstring so only a part of my face showed. I headed out of my room and as I walked, every footstep echoed in my ears, every distant rustle made me pause. I moved fast but cautiously, slipping through the corridors and out toward the gate. When I reached it, the guard barely glanced at me. Good. Raul had said he’d take care of it. The moment I stepped outside, the cold night air slapped my cheeks. My eyes sighted a car that was parked idling across the street, with its headlights off. Raul leaned casually against the driver’s side, tossing a key up and catching it like he hadn’t just committed a felony on my behalf.“Where the hell did you get this car?” I asked, walking up.He grinned, dimples flashing. “I snuck this bad boy for you. You’re welcome.”I grabbed the keys from him and nodded. “Thanks.”“Just don’t get caught,” he warned, all jokes gone from his voice now. “If Hernando finds out? He’ll skin you al
