“Alright, Dad.” I mumbled, hanging up on the call I had been on with Dad for the past 30 minutes. Dad had called to inform me on his ceremonial event, and he wanted to see my supposed girlfriend I'd claimed to the press. How things gets spread like wildfire these days is overwhelming.

“What did he say?” My friend, Tyler asked from behind me and I sighed deeply, sliding my swivel chair to seat. “Nothing new. He just wants to see my girlfriend so he's coming up with an event party.”

Tyler's pupils dilated as he stared at me, utterly surprised. “What?” I asked, my voice solemn.

“Did you just call her your girlfriend?” He asked in awe and that's when it dawned on me that I had just called that newscaster of a lady, girlfriend.

I smacked my head, sweeping my hair backwards in annoyance. Damn, how much I loathed that bitçh.

“No.” I denied, quirking my brows at him. I could tell Tyler wasn't convinced by my response, but he decided not to bulge which I loved.
