Laura's POV

I'd have scolded Agatha for causing my heartbeat to skip when she said she had something to say, but I wasn't gifted the chance to as we took to our heels again.

I followed Mom closely. I wouldn't want to lose her the second time. Mom was part of me, and part of me couldn't be left here.
