7-Out, again

Ashlynn POV.

I can't sleep, I can't sleep, grr, I growled at myself, I want to sleep, why can't I sleep, I need the rest, I need to have some time where I wouldn't be thinking about her, about things, about my mate being MIA so far, why can't my mate just show up, I can use to be held by the one who is made for me, my wolf mate, my one and only.

I groaned and left the bed this time, I looked at the time, it was four am, I haven't had any second of sleep tonight, the doctor said my blood work was clean thankfully, there was no reason for me not falling asleep, or maybe it's the lack of shifting that keeping me awake. But my fear of going feral once I shift, has me sticking to my human form, I went down the stairs, deciding to see if anyone is up or around, maybe get some water.

I saw some of the patrol enforcers in the kitchen along with mom, I gave everyone a smile and said my good mornings.

"Good morning, Ash, isn't it a bit early for you?" mom asks me, it's only four am.

"I decided to get up early, and take a run," I say, since I'm not shifting a run would my restless body.

"A run? She can have my turn in patrols," one of the guys says with a chuckle.

"If we have Ashlynn running patrols, she's beat someone's ass or she'd give us a run of our money trying to chase little Ash down," the second enforcer says, they are my friends as they are my packmates, we've been in the same pack since I've joined and they were born.

"Hey, little me, would kick asses too!" I say laughing, maybe this is what I really need, I just need to spend some time with my friends, to have a good laugh with them, maybe then I'd feel better.

"Hey, you want to go out on a run with me?" I ask Liam.

"Sure, Ash, let's go," he says, but then turns to my mother asking for her permission, is he off patrols yet.

"Keep an eye on her," mom orders him, it's only four am, what kind of chaos can we start at four am for real!

"Of course alpha," Liam answers her.

Before we left the house I ran up to my room and got my trainers on, then we left the house together, Liam turned to me, expecting me to shift, but I shook my head no, I'm not going to shift, what if things ends up badly if I shift to my wolf form and I attack him.

"I mean it a run, on two feet," I say pointing to my shoes, I had my sneakers on, didn't I.

"Really Ash? Wolf runs are always more fun, I haven't seen you on pack run in like forever," he says in a whining voice making me chuckle.

"Remember when Jordan beat your bum for trying to play with me?" I ask with a giggle, I miss the days when Kitty stayed with us.

"Your brother is a meanie, when your mate comes, he's going to have to beat Jordan to be allowed to get close to you," he says still chuckling, yes when I mate to come, but until then, I faked a smile joining the joke.

We started to run, doing a turn in the woods, we saw the others who are in wolf form running patrols, we nodded to them and kept on running, Liam was catching me up on some things that happened in the pack while I was hiding in the house.

"You want to come out tonight?" he asks me, I looked at him and thought about it, I do need to go out more.

"Yeah sure, where are you going?" I ask him, I hoped he'd say anything but the club, I've sent Bennie an anonymous message with Amber's story, about not allowing her on any kind of special nights, or allowing her in at all.

"We're having a bonfire, with some of the guys from outside the pack," he says, but who is the guys from outside.

"What guys?" I ask him worried, I don't want to see any humans.

"Just some friends from other packs, they are in for the evening," he says, well if everyone is a wolf, it can't be that bad.

"Everyone is going to be a wolf right?" I ask him just to be sure.

"Yup, we'll see you tonight?" he asks me, I nod my head yes, and we finished our run, moving back toward home.

"I need a shower, thank you for running with me Liam," I say with a smile, leaving him and getting inside, up to my room, taking a scolding hot shower, the only kind of shower I take.

Once I was done, I got dressed and checked my phone, it was six am now, a great time to call my brother and annoy him. I called Jordan and waited for him to answer me, I know he doesn't sleep in for long, he's the alpha's mate, and he got to take care of everything and help Micah stay in charge.

"Ashlynn, someone died?" Jordan answers the phone sounding sleepy.

"Shouldn't you be awake and ready?" I ask him.

"We had a long night," he says making me blush, a long night between mates.

"No comment," I say to him.

"Good, I don't need you to comment on my sex life Ash," he says making me whine.

"Daddy stop it, don't tell her that," I heard Micah whine too on the other side of the phone, there was some noise on their side of the phone before Micha's voice came through the phone.

"Hey, Ashlynn when are you coming to visit us?" Micah asks me.

"Tomorrow if you'd have me!" I say right away without a second thought, they are a day away from us.

"Really! You're always welcome over here," he says excitedly.

"Yeah, I'll be there tomorrow morning,  and we can annoy my brother together," I say with an evil grin, we can annoy him to death.

"Yes! Can't wait to see you," Micah says, we became good friends over the years.

"See you later, bye," I say ending the call now, I went down the stairs searching for mom.

"Hey, mom, I'm going out with Liam and the rest tonight, and then I'm going over to Kitty's place," I say, she turned to me with a raised brow.

"Jordan's place?" she asks me.

"Micah said I'm welcome to come over, I miss them," I say with a big pout.

"Okay, honey, message me when you get there," she says making me jump with happiness.
