Chapter 66

Leah POV

I watched him leave quickly. A part of me told me he was running away while the other part told me to trust him. I didn't know what to believe but his smile calmed my raging heart and thoughts.

I thought I would be able to trust him after last night but instead it just fueled my lack of trust for him. I had the insane urge to tie him up so he wouldn't leave. This lack of trust was all because of Thomas. I had to let go of the hurt, else I would never be able to go forward.

Suddenly the air shifted and I felt like I was being watched. I glanced at the window again and saw a pair of red eyes glaring at me. I gasped and blinked, only to see nothing.

“What just happened?” I asked myself. Was someone watching me just now? I wanted to sleep some more but now I couldn't. I should go to my room.

Pulling the covers off my legs, I stood up. My eyes immediately went to the stain on the bed and on my leg. Oh no, did Damian see this before leaving? I was so mortified.
