Leah POV

My wolf was waking up, I could feel it. Despite trying to force her into a deep slumber, she was beginning to fight back and wake up. The more I tried to suppress her, the harder it became.

She was getting stronger.

Connor had been asking me stupid questions ever since I growled so I had no choice but to send him away. Right now he knew Damian and I had gotten close, so he did whatever I told him to without hesitation.

For a moment I was glad about that. At least I wouldn't have to deal with his nuisance. Even Evelyn was shocked by my growl but what bothered me was not because she was starting to wake up, it was the words Connor said.

“She seems unfamiliar though. The last time we met before you became sick, I could feel the aure from your wolf but this wolf feels different,” Connor had murmured as he kept asking me questions and I refused to say anything.
