Leah POV

I sighed again for the tenth time or was it the eleventh? Today had gone by slowly and while I was glad about what we had accomplished, I still felt we could do more.

Tessa had told me they were trying their best. The first batch of the gems were leaving the pack tonight and we still had some gems to polish before packaging them.

Working here made me feel useful and fulfilled which I loved but it was also stressful too. Well, looking after Damian after work was much harder. He was always grumbling about how itching his bandage was and tried to command me to lose it from his legs.

I was going to remove it later tonight but just because I wanted him to whine like a child, I told him I'd be taking it off tomorrow. It was fun seeing him pout and grumble.

“Seems like someone is thinking about someone,’’ I heard Connor sing into my ears. I pushed his face away and he licked my hand which covered his mouth.

“You're disgusting,” I told him, cleaning my hand with the handkerchief
