Damian POV
“We have to make sure the borders are fiercely protected. No one should be allowed to leave without a token from me,” I ordered my men. We were at the borders and had finished going through the pack for any strange movement but found none.
Even the gems we had picked up did not offer any hint in finding those attackers. All it did was raise my suspicion within the pack. I even had to send Marcus to take the gems away. We had to sell them as the pack needed the money.
“What would be the token, Alpha?” One of them asked. Putting my hand into my pockets, I pulled out a small carved lead with writing on it. It showed 'pass' on it.
“This is the token. I had just a specific amount made so you all should make sure to take record of everyone leaving and entering the pack,” I explained.
It was an idea I thought about while thinking of the best way to know every single person that came in
Leah POVI couldn't see a thing yet I knew I was in the woods. The air was chilly and the birds whistled loudly above the trees. I was too scared to move.Where was I? How had I gotten here? Questions I couldn't answer ran through my mind. The dew was so thick, I couldn't see me hands either. Everything felt off, strange for some reasons.Whispering a little spell to clear my path, I found out I couldn't even hear myself. It felt like my voice was gone. I cleared my throat, trying to get a feel of my voice. What was going on?I decided to walk, although blindly. Maybe I could find a way out if I kept walking. As I started walking, I kept on trying to speak some spells but nothing happened. I felt empty and lost within me.My subconscious which always reminded me of my wolf was nowhere to be found. I kept walking like a blind person till my legs stepped on a broken branch. The sound echoed in the forest causing a chill to pass thro
Leah POVI stared at myself in the mirror, shocked at what I was seeing. My eyes were becoming completely green and my curves were becoming more pronounced. I was beginning to look a lot like me.How was that possible? I could feel my wolf now but she was still very weak and was sleeping. There was no way my face should be changing so drastically. It got me very scared.Didn't Damian observe the difference when he saw me earlier. Or was he blinded by his love for me.I rolled my eyes at how I was becoming too bubbly happy just because he told me he loved me. Thomas had said the same thing too and still rejected me. That was enough reasons to make me skeptical.I twirled around to make sure it was only my face and shape. I needed to make sure this didn't become more visible. I could notice it vividly since I was the owner of the body.Maybe I should do the ritual again. I would have to make sure nothing happened
Damian POVAnne carried the sword carefully, not wanting to cut herself. By looking at her expression, one could tell she had not carried a sword before.Glancing at John, I gave him a nod of approval. He had finally been able to make a sword. Now, we needed to make it perfect before thinking of producing it in large quantities.Anne swung the sword around and when it almost cut her, I hit the sword from her hand and it fell to the floor. Her eyes widened in shock while her hands shook. I took her hands into mine, pulling her to my side.“I think that is enough risk for one day,” I murmured, picking the sword and giving it to John. He took it back to the table without a voice of complaint. Indeed he was quite good at his job and was a man of few words.“So what's next?”“I will have the next sword carefully made to your desires. Only after you have approved of it will I be satisfied
Leah POV“We do miss you, Luna,” Tessa admitted although I didn't believe her. They were working perfectly without me. I thought I needed to be here to make them work but they seem to be working even harder without my presence.Glancing at the work they had done for the day and it was still noon, I guessed they would be able to meet up with the orders for the gems. I was a bit glad about that, not minding the fact that I was no longer a part of the process.“Before I forget, I made some pies and other snacks and asked Evelyn to take some. You don't mind, do you?”“No, but I would mind if I'm not given some too,” I told her and she smiled.“I'm sure there is enough for you and the Alpha,” she answered, her expression changing as she glanced behind me. I turned to see what she was staring at and saw Stephanie with Damian. It felt strange seeing her again after a few days of absence.&nb
Thomas POVI couldn't believe what I just read. How dare that stupid Rogue demand such nonsense from me? I was going to tear him apart once I saw him.Growling with anger, I folded the letter and threw it into the fire. Alpha Damian was nothing but a piece of shit, a pawn I was going to play with and discard him when I was done.I had done it once with that stupid omega witch and I could do it again. All I had to do was play along and make him feel he had the upper hand. After all, who wouldn't want an alliance with a pack as big as mine?Glancing around, I couldn't help but smile at all my accomplishments. It was just like I dreamt about. Everyone obeyed and worshiped me and I had a very beautiful mate by my side. Life could not be any better. Now, all I had to do was to send back a reply to this stupid letter. “Zach,” I called out to my trusted man and Beta. After a moment, he arrived in my office.
Leah POVI couldn't believe what Damian had just told me. We were on the bed, cuddling under the sheets when he finally told me what was going on.It was the last thing I was expecting to hear. What the hell was going on? My mind had gone blank because I was confused. How? Why?I admit, I had thought about taking some gems and hiding them myself but I never planned on selling them. Maybe if I had to leave the pack, I would have sold them but I wasn't leaving. Who could be the one doing this?“I didn't want to say anything because I know how heartbroken it would make you. You had been working extremely hard to make them these past few weeks,” he murmured.I sighed and closed my eyes. All my hardwork had been stolen. It seemed I would have to use my magic to place a spell so we would be able to find the person. Damian wouldn't have to know.“What are you thinking?” He asked when I didn't say anyt
Damian POVI hadn't seen Mr. Oscar for quite a while which I knew he was angry with me about. I had promised that he would only have to work for me yet I sent Marcus to him consistently for months. I could see the anger in his eyes and understood.“It's been a long time,” I reminded him. He nodded and waved one of his workers over. He whispered something into her ears before sending her away. All the workers inside the shop started leaving. It was one thing I liked about him. He was very secretive and one of the best people to do business with. He had been a very good friend of mine for years. I could tell he resented me for not caring about our friendship.“Who is this? I heard about your marriage to the daughter of an Alpha, I didn't expect it to be true,” he said while staring at Anne. It brought out the protective instincts in me and I growled at him. I didn't want anyone staring at her like that.
Leah POVI was so happy seeing all the ladies bundled in front of the shop buying my creation. It pleased me in a lot of ways. I had almost forgotten that I knew how to use magic because I haven't had any reason to use it.Gliding through them, I got in front of the saleswoman. Her eyes lit up in recognition when she saw me. She was one of the workers inside Oscar's office earlier.“Do you see anyone you would like to buy?” She asked, ignoring the other women. I shook my head because I didn't see any one special. She glanced through them and pulled out a bracelet.“This would look very pretty with your dress, milady,” she said with a smile. I hesitated to take it but she urged me on. I took the bracelet and wore it. Indeed, it looked really good on me.I didn't plan on buying anything though. “How much is it?” I asked.“It's on the house,” she answered. I couldn't
