Damian POV
I hadn't seen Mr. Oscar for quite a while which I knew he was angry with me about. I had promised that he would only have to work for me yet I sent Marcus to him consistently for months. I could see the anger in his eyes and understood.
“It's been a long time,” I reminded him. He nodded and waved one of his workers over. He whispered something into her ears before sending her away. All the workers inside the shop started leaving.
It was one thing I liked about him. He was very secretive and one of the best people to do business with. He had been a very good friend of mine for years. I could tell he resented me for not caring about our friendship.
“Who is this? I heard about your marriage to the daughter of an Alpha, I didn't expect it to be true,” he said while staring at Anne. It brought out the protective instincts in me and I growled at him. I didn't want anyone staring at her like that.
