Aurora’s POV:

“Call Jeremy,” she commanded in a fierce tone.

My eyebrows perked up in askance as I folded my arms across my chest. Naturally one should be scared but I wasn’t, especially as I had begun to feel a surge of power course through my veins.

“Who’s Jeremy?” I asked her instead, noticing how her lips curved downward into a sneer.

She scoffed and with an eye roll, she snapped at me; “Do not try to pretend that you do not know who Jeremy is!”

I stared at her in confusion. I was confused because first off, I didn’t know who the hell Jeremy was, and worst of all, I had no idea why I would be calling anyone simply because she asked me to. I frowned.

“Well, I don’t.”

“Aurora,” she warned threateningly, “Do it. Do not force me to pull this trigger.”

Something about the way she said it made me even angrier than I already was. I planted both of my hands on my waist as I took a step closer to her. “You wouldn’t dare!” I spat.

Now, the power coursing through my veins was overwhe

Aurora’s POV: “I told you, he’s Father’s new lawyer!” She cried defiantly, struggling under Ian’s hold but as expected, the latter didn’t let go of her. “And why do you think I’ll know where he is when you never even told me you employed him in the first place?!” I bit back at her with equal fierceness, causing her to gulp. She muttered something under her breath that sounded strangely akin to an insult and I cocked my eyebrows at her as I stepped closer to her. When she saw this, she dropped her head but then took several steps away from me. “I know you spy on me… and wor—” She started to say but before the words could leave her mouth, I snapped my fingers in her face and snarled; “You’re not that important that I would waste my time spying on you,” I heard the muffled laughs from Ian and the soldier standing directly behind him. My eyes darted in their direction for a brief moment before I turned back to Emily who still had a scowl on her face. I ignored her piercing stares a

Aurora’s POV: In a crazed frenzy, I threw all of my stuff about the now empty room but still, there were no traces of my mom or the children anywhere. Tears streamed down my face in torrents, almost blinding my vision but I didn’t stop. I couldn’t bring myself to. My body shook with fear, and at the same time, I was confused and angry. As I stumbled across the room, looking for something, anything that could act as a clue, the only thing I could think of was why my mother would do a thing like this to me. She was supposed to stand by me, to protect me and the babies! Heck, she was supposed to be my mother! Frustrated tears leaked out of my eyes and with a scream, I fell to the floor, shaking as a combination of horror and panic tore through me. Klaus stepped into the room shortly afterward and when he saw the messy state of the place and the empty baby cot, he exhaled. His eyes landed on me but he did not attempt to come close. Obviously, he was still mad at me about the issue we

Aurora’s POV:The first thing I did when I arrived downstairs and met my mother being held by two soldiers was to yell in her face. I was beyond mad and the fact that she had not even an ounce of emotion on her face made me even angrier.“Mother why?!” I growled in tears. “Why would you do something like this? What do you stand to gain?!”My body shook with anger as instead of responding to me, she smiled. For a minute, I had this irresistible urge to hit her, to strike her, or to do anything to her to inflict her pain… but I could not. I knew how dangerous I could be and I couldn’t risk hurting her too much due to anger.Frustration swelled within me, and without thinking, I snatched my babies out of the grip of the soldiers who held them. I thought about giving them to a maidservant to take them to my room but immediately decided against that.I was scared and skeptical. If I couldn’t trust my mother with my kids then who the hell could I trust with them?Just then, Klaus and Ian st

Aurora’s POV:I was confused. I don’t know what to do or say. I didn’t even know where to go from here or what steps to take after everything that has happened. My heart hurt at the thought of being with a total stranger for a month while my mother was held captive in an underground bunker in Seychelles… and I never noticed. What was worse was that I had told her everything… well aside from the fact that my father was still alive though. Now, thinking about it, it wasn’t such a bad idea to keep it away from everyone but somehow, I knew that I had to tell Klaus about it one way or the other. With this new resolve in mind, I tucked my babies into bed, placed a child monitor between them, and stepped out of the room with all the books that my father sent to me in my hands; and that was after locking the door. Now I was more careful with them. I didn’t trust anyone anymore.I walked slowly to his room, using the opportunity to ponder over everything that has been happening. I didn’t know

Aurora‘a POV: Klaus leaned close to me like a child straining for attention as he struggled to eavesdrop. I couldn’t keep my smile at bay as I brought my phone to my ear, and with a lift in my mood, I muttered ;“Hello?”“Hello daughter,” my father greeted back, and as soon as Klaus heard that, he stumbled away from me with wide eyes.Wordlessly, he pointed to me and then back at the phone, and I didn’t need any soothsayer to know that he was indirectly trying to confirm if what he was hearing was true. I smiled and nodded.“How are you?”“I am fine, Papa,” I responded, and then eyeing Klaus, I added; “…and you?”My father chuckled lightly. His deep voice rang through the phone and when he spoke some seconds later, I couldn’t help but notice how he sounded like he was in such a good mood.He said; “I am okay… Life’s good. How’s your mother, and your kids?”I contemplated telling him about my mother’s situation. I wasn’t sure I could talk to him about it yet, especially as I didn’t kn

Aurora’s POV:Savannah pushed through the door, even before being asked to. As she stalked into the room, I couldn’t help but notice how her eyes were trained on Klaus. She stared at him like he was food… and me? I was the pesky little nuisance. However, I was snapped out of my thoughts when she waved in my face, and with her eyes glued on Klaus’ face, she said;“I’ve come with a proposition,”I glanced up at her, panting and scoffing. I was pissed, not only because she was so arrogant but also because she had interrupted something. My body still ached from Klaus’ touch and now, I had the rage of an unsatisfied woman burning up within me.Klaus, who noticed my discomfort, smiled at me. He nodded and then, glancing back at Savannah, he spat; “What about?”“Us.”I had no idea what she meant by that. All I knew was that it made me uncomfortable. By us, what does she mean? I pondered over this information, but then, deciding to shrug it off my chest… for now, I turned back to the conversa

Aurora’s POV:“Josie…?” I found myself whispering when I reached the sitting room and found a frail woman sitting on one of the sofas.I still had my doubts and rightfully so. But then when I fully stepped into the room, I took a deep breath because I was finally consumed with an aura I have grown to recognize and love… it was something that even Josie never had.As if noticing my presence, my mother looked up. Her eyes were tired but they still held excitement in them… they held ‘her spark’. That was the last thing that should’ve broken my resolve. Something that should’ve had me running to her but I was still suspicious. For some not-so-unknown reason, I was scared. I was scared that this was another trap and that we had all been played with…again.I noticed footsteps behind me and from the scent that immediately wafted into my nostrils, I knew that it was Klaus. Aurora’s POV: I stepped out of the room with my mother following closely behind me. I was so lost in my thoughts that I had almost forgotten how weak she was. When it occurred to me that she might be lagging, I stopped, turned around, and smiled when I noticed that Klaus had his arm wrapped around her protectively while he pulled her alongside him. “Thank you,” I mouthed to him and he nodded. “You’re welcome.” He mouthed back. Upon seeing that she was doing just fine, I turned away and continued to walk through the airy corridors. We went down a few more flights of stairs and before you knew it, we arrived at the dungeons. The first thing I noticed when I stepped into the place today was how bad-smelling the entire place was. It was damp and dark and had this eerie feeling to it that I couldn’t quite decipher. Another thing I noticed was how the soldiers had changed the positions of the locked-up criminals, and now, Josie’s and Emily’s cells were just opposite of each other.

Unknown POV: (3 years later) Klaus and Aurora sat by the veranda, looking out at the field while young children played around, young children about their children’s age. Aurora was happy and her heart felt full… but somehow, somewhere deep inside her heart, she felt uneasy. She didn’t know what was wrong but she did know that she was uncomfortable. Her eyes wandered to where her children sat and seeing how they were still so engrossed with their toys, she smiled. “Maybe, I’m just so paranoid.” She mused, causing Klaus to turn to her. He asked her what she had said and after telling him about her thoughts, he let out a breath and muttered; “it’s been several years now, love. We’re fine now. Everyone is happy now… stop overthinking these things. The children, the pack is safe.” “But the children are too strong.” Aurora cried, “…it would take just one glance at them for an outsider to know that they’re different. They don’t even act like their mates!” “And how do you expect

Aurora’s POV:The glasses clinked as Klaus and I made a toast and while everyone sipped from our glasses, we didn’t. We only took the first sip after the toast and then poured most of the remaining contents of our drinks on the paper in the bin. It was our Prenuptial agreement. The stupid arrangement that Klaus had come up with when we first met. A smile tugged at my lips as I remembered those times and in awe of how much we’ve grown since then, I leaned into him for a hug.“Thank you,” I whispered, kissing his chest, uncaring if my red lipstick would stain his crisp white shirt. He didn’t seem to bother too as he also leaned closer, placed a kiss on my forehead, and whispered;“No, thank you, my love.”I blushed. It was the fiercest blush I have had in a while and everyone who noticed this began to laugh excitedly. At this moment, I looked around us, at my parents who were cheering and clapping at Bella while she made funny faces at David and Davina, at Jasmine who had tears stream

Aurora’s POV:I watched in curiosity as the flames lit up the evening sky, causing tons of smoke to fill the atmosphere in an almost suffocating manner. There were agonized screams coming from everywhere, but it was one from agony not from pain. Agony because a source of their livelihood was burning down, agony because a lot of money was being burnt to a crisp. Nobody was in pain, no. Klaus and I made sure no one would get hurt. While everyone had a piece of cloth or paper covering the lower parts of their face to block their nostrils from the angry fumes, I didn’t. I took it all in, giggling and happy.Klaus was standing beside me and he seemed just as pleased as I was. The only difference was that he wasn’t showing his emotions on his face. He still appeared stoic and nonchalant. One of Klaus’ soldiers held a limp Michael by his collar while he was made to watch his lifelong sweat go down the drain. Aurora’s POV:My breath hitched in my throat as I watched Damon saunter into the room, brandishing a large gun on his shoulders. I saw more than a few Elders shrink away in fear and I almost barked out a laugh from how stupid they appeared doing that. However, I was quickly snapped to the present when I felt something cold against my skin and I frowned when I saw that it was the gun and that Damon was pressing it against my head.“And what is happening here?” He asked no one in particular, but his gaze was planted firmly on Klaus’ face.Without thinking, I pushed the gun away and got up, standing between Klaus and Damon. “What are you doing here?” I asked him instead, evading his question.I saw Damon’s eyes widen but I wasn’t sure if it was because he noticed that I wasn’t scared of him even with a gun or because of something else entirely. Choosing that opportunity, I stepped closer to him until we were almost standing chest to chest and whispered;“Leave… nothing here is any of you

The chatter in the room died down as soon he stepped in with his mate stalking behind him. Normally, anyone who saw them would think she was hiding behind him but that was unlike the case here. She was protecting him. She was his aide, his bodyguard, and his Luna.People knew them. Word had gotten out. She was the last of her kind. The only white wolf left in their entire world and people feared her for that. The elders who once wanted Klaus out of the throne because he wasn’t ‘fit’ now thought otherwise. With a Luna like her, you would always be fit.“King Klaus!” An old man with a boisterous voice called out. His voice rang around the room and when Aurora turned to regard him, he shrunk into his chair.Aurora always wanted to be respected, not feared. These days after a lot of people came to know what she was, she noticed that many now feared her. Those who respected her before feared and respected her now, and those who never respected her only feared her now.Right now, ignoring t

  • The Rejected Luna   Chapter One Hundred and Thirty.

Klaus’ POV: I watched her, my mate, with fascination as she wiped the sweat off her face with the back of her hand and stepped away from the now limp form of a beat-up Alpha; and I couldn’t help but feel more proud of her than I already was. I loved how she’d gotten every information she wanted out of Michael without laying a finger on him… but considering the amount of damage she’d done to him, I wasn’t sure I could still classify her methods of torture as not laying a finger on him. She smiled at me when she came up to me, a smile that was so bright no one could imagine what she had been doing for the past hour. She handed her phone to me and I smiled when I noticed that it was still recording, even until now. Quietly, I shut it off and pulled her into a hug. “Thank you…” I whispered but she shook her head immediately. “What—?” “No, thank you,” She whispered lovingly, “…for acknowledging that this is my fight and not trying to get into it. At first, I didn’t know what to

Aurora’s POV: I stood in a corner of the dark room with amusement gleaming in my eyes while Emily glared daggers at me. By the other end, just opposite Emily was Michael who was still fast asleep as a result of the effect of the drug I had knocked him out with. Klaus’ guards had chained him to the metal chair and left him to my mercy… or so I thought until I smelled him, Klaus. I didn’t even turn around to acknowledge him. I didn’t even flinch. “What’re you doing here?” I murmured under my breath, but loud enough that he could hear me. He threw a glance at me. There was a hint of mischief in his eyes when he simply said; “I am here to watch you work.” Deep down, even though I tried to believe him, I knew that he was lying. I could feel it deep inside our mate bond. My heart clenched in my chest when I realized that he was here because he didn’t trust me not to hurt them so much, or perhaps even kill them but I didn’t say a word as regards that. I simply blinked back the tears

Even before I stepped in, I already knew where Michael was seated so I immediately made my way to him, almost basking in delight when his eyes widened as soon as he took in my appearance.“Queen superior…” he let out almost breathlessly. His eyes settled just on my exposed cleavage for a few seconds before he begrudgingly pulled them to my face.“…I thought I was supposed to meet with King Klaus today.” He pointed out, eyeing me skeptically.I shrugged; “well, hello to you too, Michael. I am doing fine and you?!” I sassed, eliciting a breathy chuckle from him.“Oh, I’m so sorry, Aurora, I was so stunned by your beauty that I momentarily forgot my manners.” He quickly responded. If that was his silly excuse for flattery then he had a lot more to learn. Refusing to show how unimpressed I was by him, I smiled, briefly exposing my pearly whites. “You flatter me!”Resting against the table, I leaned

I smiled my toothy smile at him and turned to take a quick glance at my reflection in the mirror.“Thank you, love,” I murmured back.I was clad in a little red dress, and when I say little, I mean that it did little to cover my curves. It was a long dress alright but had a very high slit by the left side, one that almost reached my waist. The neckline was low and droopy, exposing more cleavage than I would have liked but that didn’t deter me. In fact, it made me feel like I could pull this off.My silver hair was in a tight ponytail but after noticing how serious it made me look, I released it, letting it drop and then I stepped away from the mirror.Klaus was already behind me when I spun away
