A day off

I read through the sticky notes with tears in my eyes. Some of the notes said he would get back my children and I could not hold back my emotions.

He knew all about my struggles and he was still willing to help me.

“I know everything,” he said. I walked to sit on a couch with my head between my hands. “I will try my best to help you and I won’t let you down. I promise you that.”

“I don’t know how to get to him without him harassing me sexually,” I sighed. “Like a few hours…”

“He touched you today?!” he was fuming with anger.

“I didn’t let him do anything to me,” I smiled. “I kept him in his place. But all I’m saying is that he isn’t the one I should be worried about. I’m worried about my children.”

“Your children are not going to be fine if you don’t get them back. You should know you cannot get them back on your own. You’ve been trying and it’s been failing. Let me help you with some of that load.”
