Reaching home had me feeling sick as the hopes and dreams of having a child came back to me. I had failed to meet that expectation so what was the point of me being back here?

Taking myself out of the car, I rejected getting into the wheelchair brought for me as I walked up the stairs to my room.

The house bustled with so many maids running about to make sure everything was spotless but I didn’t care.

All I wanted was to be in my bed and when I would have gotten myself I would be on my way out of the pack.

I had made new reservations with a hotel in a different city. I was going to be there until my heart would heal from the pain of losing a child.

The sound of his car revving in the driveway had me crying. I was getting hints about his shenanigans. Would I confront him about it? No. There was no need to.

I would allow us to be the peaceful couple we were to the pack. I had so many benefits being a Luna and it came with so much respect. At least I was out of my parents clutches
