It's been weeks now that I haven't been to Adrian's place. But we talk often. I'm

actually at Danny's' place. My mom sent me to give his dad a certain book. But he wasn't around. So, I came to give Danny in his apartment. I got in and sat down..I

didn't come to waist anytime. He said as he sat down

"What brings you here...?" 

"I came to you this." I said and handed the book to him. He hesitated before taken it

"What's this?" he asked

"Oh! It's for your dad. I passed by his house but he wasn't around. So, I was directed by your secretary to your place. I want you to give it to him. It was sent by my mom. And please do not open this book." he gave me a confused look and asked

"Do you trust me?" I furrowed my brows and said

"No. If your cousin Adrian doesn't, why should I? And... why would you even ask me that?"

"Then why would you give me such a sacred book to keep...and above all, tell me not to open it?" he raised his brows while asking..I was speechless for some time when I said.

"Why did you call this book sacred. I for one don't know anything about this book. So, tell me. Have you seen this before?" he looked at me like crazy and chuckled saying

"You mean to say, you haven't heard about this book?" I blinked my eyes

severally before saying

"What are you insinuating?"

"Elsa. This book was produced 400years ago by us for parents. And only the holy family (king and Queen) can open it. So, there's no way. I can open it. But the question is. what would your mom or my dad be doing with this? For years now. This book has not been open by anyone. Not even Arians mom. Except a sealed human with the holy blood or a demigod with extraordinary powers. And I don't think any exist. So, right now this book is useless." he said and I was speechless again. After which I said

"Whatever it is they want to do with it.

it's none of our business. I suggest you just do as i told. When he comes. You hand it to him." i said and was about living when he asked

"How is Adrian? he doesn't come to work often. Since he meets that beautiful secretary of his. What's going on?" I turned around and said

"I see why Adrian is irritated by you most times. Because of that tongue of yours. You need to tame it. Before it lands you in a mess." he narrowed his eyes at me saying

"Why did you re-direct my question. are you scared of your responds? I know you have feelings for Adrian. It's

very clear. And I understand how hard it is to see him treat another girl more than he does with you."

"It's not your business what is going with his secretary or not. I trust Adrian. And if there's something happening between them. He'll

definitely let me know. And they'll be nothing you, I or anybody will be able to do about it. I'll wait for him. If I have to." I said and turn around to leave when he said again.

"Good luck with that" I just kept going not looking back. Actually, those words hurt me. him and Adrian have similar character in this case. When they mean to hurt you. You'll regret ever knowing them. Their words are more than sharp swords pieces your spirit, body and soul. Especially Adrian. Even though for years now. He

doesn't use hurtful words towards me.

I was heading straight home to ask my mom about that book..I was curious. if what Danny told me was true. What will they really be doing with the book?

I've heard about the sacred book but never seen it and it was nothing like what he said. 

I arrived home and she wasn't home yet. Cause she actually went out. I waited and when she came back home. I said immediately she entered the living room.

"Mom what's it about that book you sent me to give Danny's dad?" she looked at me stunned and said

"Why did you sudden ask that? did he mention anything to you about it?"

"Uhm..he wasn't at home actually. I'm just curious." I said and she narrowed her eyes saying

"I wonder why you didn't ask me that before living. But right now. And besides. You're not that type who is curious over nothing."

"You call the Sacred book nothing?" I said and she looked at me in disbelieve and asked

"Where is the book? I don't have time for this talk"

"It's not with me." I said living

"what do you mean by it's not with you...?" she asked and I said

"You don't have time for this talk remember?" she got angry and said

"Girl. Quit playing with me and tell me who you gave it to. I hope you didn't give it to Adrian...?"

"Why would I give it to him?" I asked and she said roaring

"Just answer the damn question!"

"I didn't... so what Danny said was true?" I asked and she furrowed her brows saying

"Girl what are you talking about?"

"I passed by Danny's place to give him the book. So, when his dad comes back. He'll hand it over" I said and she said surprisingly

"You what!?"

"You heard me mom..I gave it to Danny." I said

"How can you give it to Danny. That boy who can't keep his mouth shut! Shit! I gave you because I trust you. And you go hand it over to Danny!? Are you insane?" she said

"What were you expecting me to do mom? Bring it back!?" I asked

"YES! you could have brought it back!" she said nervously

"Yeah! I thought you said this book was nothing? So, it didn't really matter to me at that time. Except for now. It's your fault cause you hidden this from me for long. If only you told me what the book is about.  Danny was right them. Because you were actually nervous the holy blood touched it. Adrian right!?" I said and she shrugged

"So, tell me mom. Let's talk about this now. What is it about Adrian touching that book which makes you so scared?" I said and she looked at me for some time and sat saying

"Elsa. This book contain somethings Adrian doesn't need to know if he opens it. It will make him uncontrollable and you'll lose him. Yes, it's a sacred book and it should help him. But they are still some mysteries. If he finds out now. It will only bring more tention between the natural and the supernatural...and hence, the natural will be destroyed in the process...and that's only going to be a disaster that will never end. Except, there's a sealed being--" she stopped not finishing her statement. I

don't know why she did that

"Who is a sealed being? And what is it about that book that will make him be uncontrollable?" I asked

"The Power of

The Truth" she said. Which made me more confused

"What's in the truth mom!?" I asked

"I don't know...I haven't read it" she said

"what about my first question?" I asked. she sigh and said

"You don't want to know what that is. so, I suggest you don't ask for your good. What's important right now is for you being there for him...because he needs you." she said and left leaving me dumfounded.
