The past two days have been the best days of my life..I and Billie arrived work early since we had board meeting.

I entered the office while Billie followed from behind. I saw Danny sitting there with a very bright smile which i didn't pay attention to. I knew something was up.

The meeting began and everything was going fine until my dad said

"So, Danny will be taking care of this project hence forth while Adrian. You concentrate on the rest." I

furrowed my brows and said

"Wait a minute. How the hell will Danny take care of a project I spend almost all my time handling. No disrespect Day. But for the records. It's clearly visible that Danny can't take care of this. Have y'all

suddenly forgotten what he did with the previous one!?" Danny chuckled as my dad said

"Adrian calm down. You should listen to what he has to say first. He

came up with a better deal with our business partners. That earned him this opportunity."

"Alright. so.. Danny tell us your...deal." he cleared his throat before saying

"Actually, our company is the best so far but then we need more business partners who will invest in our company. And we can't do that without gaining their trust. So, I decided we invest first in their own project. hence gaining their trust. After we're done gaining their trust, we can now use them to paint our name in all their branches. Doing that, our company shares will increase and hence giving us many business partners who will invest in our company." 

"I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup and shit out a smarter statement than that!" I said and everyone turned their gaze to me. he sighs and said

"Could you at least keep your pride aside and agree with me for once!"

"Well, I could agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong." I said looking at his furious expression.

"And obviously two wrongs make a right. So,

let's do this" he said about to sit when I got up and said

"This is GIC company! And, not some small business company you started. Who won't want to invest in our company!? 

Common. We all know they're dying to work here. We don't need to negotiate anything with them. We'll be instead doing them a favor. So. if they don't want to invest. That's their lost.

 We have never bowed down to anyone and we won't start now.

 If you tell them that with boldness. trust me, they'll give their last. Just for this project. 

And this isn't about you deciding Danny. Because everyone's opinion matter in cases like this. And should know that by better" he chuckled in his sit as the room became silent. After which he said

"Adrian. Humility is what is needed here...not boldness!" I looked at him unbelievably and said

"I overestimated your intellectual capacity. Not until not. When you proved me very wrong? Do you sometimes listen to the shit that comes out of your mouth!?even your ass is jealous of the amount of shit that just came out of your mouth." he stood up furiously and said

"Watch your tongue A d r I a n" I smirked and sat down still looking at him and when my dad said

"Enough you two. We've already decided who is going to have this project and there's absolutely nothing you can do about its Adrian" when he called my name, I turned and faced him..in disbelieve

I said

"Y'all must be fucking kidding me! Did y'all even listen to what I said!?" Danny kept smiling as he said

"They heard you loud and clear Adrian. remember.. you said everyone's opinion matter!? So, it's not about your decision. It's about their opinion!" I narrowed my eyes at him and said

"Don't chew words and force in my mouth Danny. I'm not you. I never said here that I decided. You said that! But, since y'all have made your decisions. that's ok. Hope y'all don't regret this later on." 

Why do I feel like something is wrong? Whatever this is, I'm going to get to the bottom of it. Some announcements were made while I studied Danny carefully. He seemed a little bit nervous.

The board meeting was finally over when I went closer to Danny and said

"You shouldn't play hide and seek, no one will look for you." he clenched his jaw. 

After which I went to my office and Billie came in afterwards and asked

"Adrian what just happened?" I turned around and said

"Are you seriously asking me that right now?"

"I don't mean that...I meant. their looks. They looked so awkwardly calm. It felt like. they were being hypnotized.." she said and I came closer to her and kissed her forehead..

"You're the best. that's exactly what happened!" she shrugged for a while and said

"Okayyy..ok...Okay. SOOO, I am right!? Am I

actually right? if. So...then how is that even possible!?" I just looked at her still inches away from her and said

"Uhm..it can be possible. even though I

don't know how. We just need to keep our eyes on him" she just blinked her eyes severally and said

"You know you owe me some explanation, right? I've seen enough for me to know the truth. Even if I have to be sealed. Even though I don't know what that is..." I smiled and said

"If only you know what that is, you won't repeat what you just said. During your break, you come over. We'll be going to my favorite restaurant. for lunch." Her eyes showed excitement like a puppy as she said

"Really!"

"Really. Now leave before I change my mind" I said moving to my sit. as I sat down, she said

"That's my boss!! You don't need to pretend to "change your mind"... Cause you and I know you'll. l o v e having lunch with me." She said moving away as I looked at her with amusement.

Before Danny wanted to leave the board room, I rushed and met him. He looked at me displeased..I guess he wasn't in his mood after all the true insults Adrian gave him.

"I order you to leave now" he said

"Sorry for interrupting but, what you did, didn't actually walk on me and it won't work now. So, stop trying hard." he looked at me surprised as he said

"How is that even possible!?" 

"Search. I came here to ask about something you said last time. About a s I l e d human! What does it mean?" I asked

"What do you want to do with it?" he asked

"I guess you understand that. The only reason you're still here, alive and running your mouth like a machine. Is because I haven't told Adrian about this! You that right? So, if I were you..I would tell that devil that is trying to get me killed to get behind me. while I answer this simple question." I said and he answered saying

"A sealed human is a special human with the holy family's blood" 

"Skip that part. You told me last time. What I mean is. how does she get the blood of the holy family?" I said and he chuckled saying

"By carrying the child of a member of the holy family in her womb" my eyes opened wide and I asked again

"why did you call her special?"

" Because she's meant for him." he answered. And

I shrugged. After which he asked

"Is that all?" I just nodded. He furrowed his brows before leaving. 

Actually, Danny

doesn't know exactly who his cousin is as a demigod.

But, why the confusion. My mom told me I'm meant for him. And here is Danny telling me a "special human" is meant for him.
