I got up earlier the next day and went to the living room only to find Billie laying on the couch with a book on her hands..I went closer to her from behind and bend down and said in a whisper

"Good morning talk bird." She was startled at my presence.

"What the hell Adrian! Why would you come from the back just to greet me..." she said sitting upright and I smirked?

"You did that on purpose right!?" She said furiously and I chuckled saying...

"What happened you got up this early... and more to that reading a... book?" She raised a brow saying

"Just because you often see me sleeping in the morning doesn't mean I sleep all night. And by the way. Reading is my hobby. And this is a Novel called Darling don't run away. Not just a book"

I sat close to her as she was looking at my every action from head to toe. 

"What!?" I asked looking at her expression

"Not. Nothing. It's just that. You're distracting." she said and i raised my brows

"Just keep reading like my presence is absent..." I said looking away

"Like your presence is absent!?But it is actually present! why should i pretend about that?" she said furrowing her brows

"If you can't pretend then. Sorry" I said laying my head against the couch and looking at the ceiling

"It seems you've been sent to me this morning to kill my peace. I'm tired of the good talk. Now leave" she said and I looked around to see if she's actually referring to me

"Have you become blind or you're training how to be..." she said and I turned to her this time saying

"This is my house and these are my couch. You can't ask me to leave. I should be the one telling you that..." I said 

"But you can't. So, leave" she said more with authority this time..i ceased the book from her hands. Looking at it, I said 

"Just take a good look at the little thing causing us trouble..i think you need a break Billie." She sighs heavily looking away she said

"Give me back my Novel. Adrian" 

"You going to have to strive for it then." I said and she raised her brows

"Oh. so, you want to play!?" she said and i just sat there staring at her vigilantly

She was looking from me to the Novel in my hand and back to me. calculating on how she'll get the book.

I sat up straight and extended the book to her saying

"You want the book. Here. Take it. You can have it..." She looked at me narrowing her eyes.

And she started extending her hand slowly to take the book. As she was about getting it..I withdraw my hand.

She looked at me furiously. Then I said

"You can now have the couch just for... you." I said got up and was about leaving when she stood up and said

"Adrian. Please hand it over." I didn't look back as i kept going

After which I felt her coming from behind to get the book from me..I lifted the book up saying

"Not fast." She came and stood Infront of me saying

"You'll hand this book over to me... if not. You'll have to face" 

I smirked at her response saying

"I'm already facing you. talk bird" She chuckled saying

"Of course, you know. This isn't what I'm talking about" I nodded slowly

"Yeah of course I know what you meant. Let's see how trained you are." I said 

She then used a trained skill I thought her on me. it actually caught me of guard. But I immediately stood my ground and she was the one who stumbled. But didn't fall

"Remember you can't use a skill your master trained you, on him." I said and she smirked. Knowing what I meant

She persisted severally but failed. She couldn't even extend her hand to get it. cause she'll be wasting her time. After a long time. She stopped and was breathing heavily..I chuckled.

"I told you. To take a break. Just look at what this book has done to you. If only you had just humbly accepted my offer. To have the couch. You won't have embarrassed yourself Infront of me like this. You mean all the time we've been training. Was a waist!?" I said and she rolled her eyes at me.

And... that is what I don't like. I came closer to her. Until I was inches away from her.

She was furrowing her brows. All the while. When she realized what she did. She gulped and said

"Adrian...it wasn't intentional" 

I just stood there looking in her eyes as I said in a whisper

"I'll be going to Danny to discuss something with him. And as for Blaze, he'll come over to collect a file I'll leave on the table. If you want your friend to come over. Just call. But you won't be leaving the house in my absence. Is that clear!?"

I heard her saying in her mind.

*What has happened to him...what was this all about. I thought he was about doing something. Torturing.*

"If I had to torture you, you wouldn't be aware..I would never come at you immediately..and you know that." I said and she shrugged. 

I left leaving the novel on a stool by her side
