I was so shocked by what she did. Who does that? After everything she's seen from my world..

I could never forgive myself if something happened to her.

She was so weak..as that process drained her energy. 

I ended up feeding her..even though she hates it. But i insisted.

What she said kept playing in my head. Is there really a beast in me that needs to be dealt with?

'cause i find myself in most times getting angry at the least things. I'm naturally a cold and authoritative person due to my personality and power but..it's different sometimes.

Like i really get out of control..and when i do, no one can stand in my presence.

But..Billie didn't only stand in my presence, she took a big risk and saw through my pain.

She got hurt and i felt that..at a certain point, i couldn't stop her in the process because she was so deep.

She touched my chest to feel my heartbeat and i felt my heart softened..as i came to conciousness.

It's a minute now that I've been feeding her..still keeping my gaze on her, the door opened.

Turned around and saw Elsa and Ashley standing by the door side.

I turned my gaze back to Billie and was feeding her. 

"Billie..your eyes are red. Are you ok?" Ashley asked coming close to us

"As you can see..she's so weak. That's why I'm feeding her" i said not looking back.

"What exactly is wrong?" Elsa asked and Billie wanted to respond. 

I shook my head meaning she shouldn't speak..I'll be the one to do the speaking for her.

"She's not feeling well right now.." i said not wanting to lie.

There's a wise way of answering someone when you don't want to tell them what happened.. that's what I'm doing.

"Is that why you're feeding her?" Elsa asked coming closer to us

"Yeah..is the something wrong with that?" i asked and she was dumbfounded

"No..there isn't. It's just not necessary" Elsa reponded

Elsa has been so strange this days. 

Like normally she isn't that open and she's always serious. She has never asked me some intimate questions..'cause she has never question the things i do. Our friendship has always been with boundries.

But recently, it's quit the opposite. 

Ashley cleared her throat.. just to dissolve what Elsa said 

She came and touched Billie on her head..and sigh

"You're hot.." Ashley said and Billie hummed.

I was done feeding her..so, i gave her fruit juice to drink..still doing it myself.

She kept staring at me the whole time...

"You'll have to sit up for sometime..before you lay down. I'll come check you after 30minutes..ok?" i said and she nodded

I left the room and Elsa came behind. When we were in the corridor..she said

"Adrian..are you feeling well?" i turned around.. and gave her a questioning look

"They way you took care of her just now..is not like you at all. I mean..since--" She didn't complete her statement

But i understood what she wanted to say.

I came close to her and looked into her eyes

"It's good you stopped yourself from mentioning her name. And by the way..I've been observing you quit alot lately. And...you seemed to have changed..that's not the Elsa i know at all." i said

"Is the something...you're not telling me?" i said again narrowing my eyes and she looked down

"Not at all..it's just, i feel really alone. And you're always busy and so fucused in your work..when i come spend time with you." she responded.

"I've always been there for you.. What are you talking about?" i said and she raised her head up

"The way you behave towards Billie..you've never behaved like that with me.." she said and i furrowed my brows not understanding why it troubles her so much

"Elsa I'm just being nice towards her..and second of all, she's my secretary living in my house. Her health is my priority. If something happens to her I'm responsible. You would do same if you're in my shoes.. 

No one can take your place in my life Elsa..and you know that..for as long as you've lived with me" i said  and she smiled..

I kissed her forhead and said

"I'll be going to my room now" i left afterwards

I was busy working and talking with some business partners that i forgot i had to check on Billie after 30minutes

I looked at the time..and 2hrs had already gone.

I stood up and went to her room. Her freind Ashley was sleeping close to her as they were sound asleep.

I closed the gently after entrying.

I went to Billies side and bent down and touched her cheek..and her temperature was so high.

When my hands touched her she hummed. She was sleeping side ways facing me..

When she hummed i wispered to her

"Shh..i just came to check on you" 

She hummed again opening her eyes this time

"Adrian.." she muttered

"Yeah..sorry to wake you up" i said

"It doesn't sound like. Does it? You just wispered to my ear.." she muttered and i chuckled

"I know right. You're so hot.." i said touching her again

"Hmm.." she muttered

We stared at eachother for a long time..after which i placed my hand over her hair sleeping it over and over again so she could fall asleep. 

She smile at my action..and her temperature was decreasing to normal

"Do you feel better?" i muttered and she nodded

I continued and she fell asleep after a while..when i removed my hands she hummed naughtyly..and immediatly i placed it back, she stopped and smiled

I giggled at her reaction

"I thought you were asleep.." i muttered and she didn't say anything as she enjoying my palms on her hair.

After 30minutes she fell asleep for real this time..

I gave a light kiss on her head..she didn't humme this time..since she was fast asleep. 

I removed my hands, got up gently and went to my bedroom.
