I didn't know how many times I called Nathan, but he didn't answer any of them. I curled up in bed and stared at the dark screen of my phone. The memories of our two weeks together flooded my mind; I had mixed feelings.

It would be outrageous to say I'd genuinely fallen for him because of a misunderstanding, but I couldn't deny the memories were vivid. I thought about the hug we shared at the hospital and the warmth of his lips against mine.

I also thought about the calm yet loving way Nathan had looked at me. I couldn't act like none of this had happened and started thinking about whether he and I had interacted in the past.

Unfortunately, my memory wasn't the best. I couldn't even remember what I'd eaten the day before. It wasn't realistic to expect that I could remember anything about Nathan.
