Chapter 3

I saw anger and savagery in Evan's face, which confused me. I glanced at Nathan, but he didn't look too pleased, either. He looked at Evan icily.

"How dare you, Nathan!" Evan snarled.

I sensed the tension in the air and moved to stand in front of Nathan. "Did you need something from my boyfriend?"

Evan's expression twisted when he heard that. Meanwhile, Nathan caressed my head and said, "I have something to discuss with him. Wait here for me, okay?"

Then, he pushed Evan out of the ward and shut the door behind him. I could only vaguely hear their argument through the door. The volume fluctuated, so I didn't hear everything.

"Have you lost your mind, Nathan? Have you forgotten that Giselle is…"

"You're the one who said you were okay with it, aren't you?"

"That's how it is, huh? Fine, then. I'll give her to you. I can't wait to see what she'll think of you when she regains her memory, though!"
