CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIX

SALLY

I sat on the couch opposite the driver, who was now seated in my sitting room. My guards were in a corner of the sitting room watching us while pretending they weren't watching.

I fixed my gaze on the driver as the maids set his glass and turned wine into the glass. He was staring at me through the corner of his eyes. I was clearly aware of that, yet I didn't shift my gaze from him for a second.

He picked up the glass of wine after the maids left and faced me fully.

"I hope you didn't poison this?" He asked me.

I smiled and shook my head.

"I still want the police to get hold of you," I replied plainly.

"Are they on their way already?" He asked me.

I shook my head in a very slow motion and without blinking for a second.

"Why are you suddenly here after disappearing for a month?" I asked him.

His eyes widened, and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Is it one month already?" He asked. "Time flies, really quick, and I do not keep record. "
