CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWELVE

SALLY

The cab was still in motion when Alicia's call came in, and I quickly picked it up.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am," she began with an apology. "I can't make it to the meeting, as I'll be representing you in a meeting at the office."

I sighed deeply.

"It's fine."

I leaned backwards and closed my eyes. It didn't take too long for the cab to finally get to its destination. The cab pulled up in front of one of the most famous restaurants around. I opened my eyes immediately when I noticed the cab stop.

I thanked the cab driver after I walked down and went straight into the restaurant. It wasn't much of a stress searching for James as I saw him immediately after I walked in.

He was seated alone on a table with a bottle of water and an empty glass in front of him. He was on his phone. I looked around for his guards, his colleagues, or even his assistant. I didn't see anyone around, so I just walked ahead.

"Hello," I greeted James immediately as I took my sea
