I was half hearing sirens and loud voices but my lids were so heavy, I couldn’t lift them to see what all the noise was about. After awhile, I drifted into unconsciousness and couldn’t hear anything anymore.

When I finally managed to opened my eyes, I saw Kevin’s anxious face looking into mine.

“Babe! Thank goodness you are awake!” He exclaimed. He touched my cheek gently. “How are you feeling?”
