“Janet!” Kevin’s mom exclaimed, hugging me warmly. “How have you been? I heard about your accident! Thank heavens you are okay.”

“I am fine thanks. I really appreciate your concern.” I said returning the hug.

“ Oh my God your hand!” She gently held my bruised wrist.

“It’s nothing really, just a bruise.” I said.

She stepped back to let us in.

“Come in. Lunch is almost ready.” She said leading us into the living room. “ I was hoping your Dad could join us Kevin, but he called to say he had a meeting, so I guess it will just be the three of us.”

We sat down on the sofa, while she sat in an armchair.

“I am so sorry about your dad’s heart attack Janet, I am happy he is better now.”

“Thanks, he is a lot better. He is even back at work.”

“And his fiancée,” she looked embarrassed. “ She is a wanted criminal?”

“Yeah she is. Her real name is Claudia Rivers. She was planning to harm my dad too, but thanks to Kevin she was caught.”

“Only for her to esca
