Chapter Forty-one

"I'll rather remain jobless than work for you. You know what? I won't do this anymore." Eve said, pulling out a handkerchief from her handbag. She wiped her face.

Henry broke into a laugh. "You want to back out? You can't."

"I will never be your assistant. You can keep your damn job and your filthy thirty thousand dollars." Eve maintained.

Henry clapped for a few seconds and said "You don't get it. Don't you? You can't back out miss Bloom. It's too late to cry when the head is already cut off."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying you can't back out now."

"I took up the job and I've made the decision that I don't want it anymore," Eve stated. "You can't tell me what to do."

"You have no choice," Henry replied calmly with a smile. He looked up to Dane. "Dane, you might want to explain the contract rights to her?"

"So she can pass out again? You guys should assume I'm invincible here." Dane replied after sitting. He crossed his legs.

"What do you mean by I have no choice?" Eve challenged.
