Chapter Forty-Seven

Before entering Henry's office, Eve noticed the way Stacy kept staring at her. She knocked slightly and went in after Henry gave the permission.

"You sent for me sir," she said immediately after walking in.

"My car broke down but luckily it broke down at the entrance just after I reached the office this morning."

Eve wondered why Henry was talking to her about his car.

"I need you to get a mechanic and have it taken away because it's not supposed to be there," Henry said.

"Okay, sir."

"You have an hour."

"Noted." She left.

Henry thought she might ask for the contact of his mechanic or seek direction on how to manage the car but instead, she disappeared. He grabbed his pen, fondled the tip and imagined how he was going to scold her once she returned with excuses.

Immediately Eve walked out of Henry's office, she walked straight to Mrs Wayne's counter.
